When I was on my walk I looked up...
see what was sitting in the tree...
Today I'm joining World Bird Wednesday

so I had to move in for a closer look....

it just sat there and watched me...
didn't seem to mind the camera at all...

Brrrr we are cold here in Texas again...
started out at 60 that was the high at 6 am...
it steadily dropped after that....
but as usual here in Texas...
this shall soon change...
I know I shouldn't complain...
so many of you are truly having winter...
but thats what we do here...complain about the weather...
Watching Sea Biscuit tonight...
I've never seen it before...it's a good movie....
a good spirit lifter...
shows no matter how far down you are...
you can always pull yourself out..

The egret is beautiful and so are your photos. We have snow headed our way tonight which is okay since it's the first we've had this winter.

Wonderful series concluding with that last awesome shot!
The blue sky made a gorgeous backdrop.

Great shots! An egret came to our pond (by the kitchen) last year - late spring. I think it saw the decoy duck floating and thought it was real!

I love bird watching. Saw a hawk swooping in from across the street three days ago. Not that I LIKE hawks all that much. Scares off the other birds.

Complaining, or at least talking about the weather is one of my hobbies. :) Great shots of the egret, Deb.

-waving Hi- :-)

Lovely close-ups. Your camera continues to do excellent *work.*

Hmmmm, when I first came here just now, not all the blog showed up. There was no place to leave comments.

I *went out* and *came in* again, and Voila! It was here. But interesting.... Especially because of my post topic today....

Mmmmmm, I have a *Grumpy* post today. Hope you have time to pop over and read it. :-)

egrets don't pay any attention to us at all, we can almost walk up and touch them, they just slowly move away. this one does look like he is a little chilly. and we are famous for complaining about the weather here and it changes from am to pm my list of complaints is too hot, too cold, to humid, too dreary

Love your header shot. That is quite a neat trick to have your tail AND you head up.

Just catching up this morning! Beautiful, beautiful photo!! And, Seabiscuit is a wonderful story. Love it. It is sad, but true, how some unexpected things can hit us and make us feel sorrow. hang in there. blessings ~ tanna
