it sure is hard to get back in the swing of things...
Hubby and I are both missing the ocean and sand...

with all that is going on in this world...
being by the ocean...with my toes in the sand...
sure takes away all the tension...
hmm maybe that is the solution...
sand and ocean breeze...
a dose twice a day...
I can't believe that it is October 1st....
I guess I have to slowly let go of summer...
fall is popping up all over the place...
pumpkins are plentiful this year...
Halloween is every where...
I'm just not ready for Halloween yet...

I am looking forward to some fun activities this month...
I have a few photo shoots set up...
a family picnic at the lake this Sunday...
along with family photos...
I got a wireless remote for my camera...
I won't have to make a mad dash to get in the photo...
a girls day at the state fair...
my daughter is inviting us all over for a get together at the end of the month...

I have been doing a lot of cooking lately...
which is something I haven't done in a few years...
Hubby has been the main cook after the kids grew up...
Since I've been doing Paleo...
I've enjoyed cooking again...
I look up recipes...then I do my own spin on them...
Tonight I fixed stuff bell peppers...
I stuffed them with mushrooms...spinach...
onions...purple cabbage...ground pork...
baked them in the oven...
Hubby put cheese on his...
I also fixed roasted carrots and roasted cauliflower...
you just use about 1 or 2 tsp of olive oil...
rub down the veggies... bake in the oven...
Hubby even enjoyed it...

Maybe you could bring home a tub of sand and sea water to soak your tootsies in occasionally. :)

WE love the beach too...always HATE to leave and wonder what it would be like to live there....at least for a month or two a year.

Roasted peppers and veggies sound YUMMY!

I'm missing the beach and water too. Life seems to be even busier than when we had children at home it seems. What's up with that?
You are doing such a good job in taking care of yourself! I'm going to look up that Paleo thing.
Saturday Summer and I leave for California. Glad to get some more beach time although it is not the same. More driving and looking than sitting. The government shut down has affected our plans so we aren't certain of our itinerary.
As always, I LOVE your photos!! They always make me feel good!

Ah, the beach looks lovely. Sounds like you've cooked some healthy and delicious meals. I'm hungry just thinking about them.
