Saturday night at Linda's House

our Fun Girls get together...

This is Linda's kitchen...

filled with love...yummy food...awesome drinks...

she is here with her Sister and Sister in love....

 of course I had to take a photo of this ladybug...

it is helping with her fountain in the back yard...

 

 Linda has a comfy dining room...

we ate our Beef Stew there...

then she brought out the giant cutting board...

and we were all set for our craft night...

 

 This is Donnis...my Mom's best friend from childhood...

she has always reminded me of Doris Day....

she was in charge of the craft this time...

We all think she is beautiful...inside and out...

 

 We made crosses...

they were simple...but turned out so cool...

 

 This is the famous Gazebo...

where Linda and her sweet hubby spend a lot of time...

if you step one foot in...you will understand why...

 

 Donnis had everything for our craft...

all we had to bring was our glue guns...

Linda is getting extension cords for us all to plug in...

with the foil..the lighting...me talking too much...

 

I just love her Easter center piece...

Linda changes her décor regularly...

so every time you go to visit...

you see something new...

 It is Sunday morning...

I am sitting here listening to the rain...

pitter patter on our metal roof...

wrapped in my pink fuzzy blanket (thank you Mom)...

still in my P.J.'s...

going to be a lazy...do as we please day....

I had a great Saturday....

house hold chores...took my DIL to lunch for her birthday...

Today is her Birthday....

they were having a little festival in our old down town...

walked around...looked in shops...

bought be another big floppy hat...(photo's later)

last night was our Fun Girls night...

Linda from Linda's Life Journal hosted...

she invited us into her beautiful home...

made the most amazing beef stew...

it has turned chilly here in Texas...

so was perfect for the evening...

she had the wine chilled...and amazing flavored teas...

we had an awesome craft...great laughs and discussions...

just what I needed to recharge my batteries...

we have a wide variety of gals that join us...

Linda invited her sister...and her sister in love...

they just fit right into our group...

 

 our onions are really starting to grow...

this is my first attempt at them...

 

 almost every one of my seeds has sprouted...

it is fun to watch the growth daily...

Hotrod is really enjoying seeing them grow..

 our grape vines are starting to take off...

they weren't looking so good for a while...

but now...I'm having positive vibes from them...

Saturday was guys day for Hotrod...

he spent the whole day with his Pawpaw and Daddy...

doing guys stuff...

he was a stinky...dirty mess...but happy as a clam...

I would watch out the window to see what they were up too...

occasionally he would come in and ask for something...

Hey Oma do you have a tool belt...

well of course I do...don't all Oma's...

it was actually a Home Depot tie on apron...for nails..

but we tied it on and he filled it up with his tools...

Hotrod and Pawpaw come in looking for tape...

of course I have tape...

they needed it to tape broken reflectors to Hotrods car...

his idea...so he could have a smashed car...

he grinned from ear to ear...to have a smashed car...

I gotta work on it now Oma...

tool belt...check...

smashed car...check...

grubby...dirty hands...check....

 



 

today I'm joining Good Fences

The fences are not too pretty...

but I do enjoy the visitors....

 



 

we have been having a lot of fun visitors....

 



sometimes fences are just there...

and the cute things are in front of them...

Hotrod was having a little fun...

playing in the sun shine...

 



sometimes what is on the fence....

is the best part...

 the birds were really active today....

we had severe thunder storm warnings all day...

tornado warnings in the evening...

we got about a cup full of rain all total here today....

other areas not far from us have flooding...

a tornado touched down...

lot's of hail and high winds for some...

 

 this week has flown by....

time flies when you are having fun...

and/or busy...

 

 this is the top of one of my wind mills...

you know how I love rust....

we had some amazing sky's today....

just wish all the lines weren't in the photos...

 

 

 my plants are loving the humidity....

loving the Spring....

 

if you want to have a proud moment...

listen to a 3 year say the Pledge of  Allegiance...

while waving a flag...

now if that doesn't pull your heart strings....

I don't know what will...

Most people don't know....

I have a silly side..

left to my own devices...

well you see what happens...

Hubby was washing the truck...

I had a few minutes to kill...

I had found out that you can use the volume

button on my phone to snap photos...

wow it sure makes selfies so much easier...

so I went a little silly...

I had a mirror...had my camera...

was having a decent hair day...

had on makeup...

we were on our way to a funeral...

needed to lighten up a bit...

so this is me....

no touch ups...

just letting it all hang out...



 I have 2 windmills....

Thank you Dad and Kandy......

well they aren't exactly this size....

they are about 7 foot tall...

My step Mom's brother was getting rid of them...

so I got to get them....

they need a few screws...and to be anchored...

you know photos will be coming...

 

 all to happy to show me their "guns"...

guys are tons of fun...

the one in yellow is a lizard catcher.....

 

I got a sun spot on this one...

but I really liked the look of it...so I left it...

The Mom loved it too...

isn't it great art doesn't have to fit in a box...

you can just jump right out of that box...

some will like it... some won't....



Monday blew by like the wind...

and we have had the wind....

 



My Dad and Step Mom were in town...

so they stopped by for a quick visit...

Hotrod enjoyed having them to show off for...

he was a bit of a turkey yesterday...

spent most of the day in trouble...

a typical little boy....

I was so happy to have my lawn guys come today...

spring has brought a big crop of weeds...

we have a gravel driveway....

they can take it over quickly...

so they were mowed down...

sprayed with weed killer...

the lawn got fertilizer...

it was a harsh winter...

sure hope my grass survived it all...

we had a lizard photo bomb us...

didn't even know it till I was going through the photos...

sure glad she didn't notice it...or our photos

might have looked a bit different...

Hotrod asked if we caught it...

Silly Boys....he has lizards on his mind...



Spring wild flowers are popping up....

 



the birds are really busy...

I got out the bird feeders...

Hotrod and I have been filling them up...

the birds and squirrels have been emptying them...

these birds are from the lake...



I've been trying to get my desk clear...

I don't think that will ever happen...

but it is easier to organize...

when Hotrod and Pawpaw are out of the office...

 



Happy first day of April...

and that is no April Fools either...

I always get a call from my brother...

this year it was call Mr. Bass at 469-554-7500...

some years it the zoo...he's a cut up for sure...

this is the number for the Zoo...

I'm so looking forward to our Saturday night Girls night...
