Happy Thursday...

I'm moved into my new office...has to have a ladybug...
It is still cold here in Texas 24 this morning...
a little ice on the patio...

This is a great inexpensive Christmas gift...
just download and burn some of you favorite Christmas
music...and share....got this at the open house last week..

found my barbed wire star...
had to put in my office...

My dad and step Mom came into town today...
and brought me these for Christmas...my Dad made them...

Don't you just love them.....and they go with
my theme in my office....

I found this idea when I was sitting waiting on
hubby at the dentist last week....so I gave it a whirl...

I baked cookies for my Dad and filled up
the lunch sacks....put the cookies in ziplock baggies..
dropped in the lunch sack...punched holes...tied ribbon
added a tag...and your gift is ready...going to do this
for my neighbors...and FIL's neighbors...
This time of year everyone thinks of Children...
but don't forget about Senior citizens...
and people that live alone...and don't have family
coming for Christmas....these little bags...filled
with goodies would be great....we have a tradition
every year for the past 8 or 9 years....I do a Christmas
craft and drop off at a local Nursing home for the patients..
this year I did stockings out of red felt and decorated with lace...
just a little something to add cheer to their rooms....
I'm getting more and more into the Christmas Spirit...
Merry Christmas.....

Hi Deb...I like all your decorations! 24 in Texas is very cold; we are 18 here today. Love the cookie sacks, what a great idea.

Hi Deb! I'm glad you came by. I was just thinking about you this morning, seriously! I have been so behind on visiting.

I enjoyed catching up with your posts. Is your new office at home or is it a new work place?

I really enjoyed the stories about the gifts you received as kids and locking the trike in the car! Our first couple of Christmases with our kids were crazy too. Since they were pre-schoolers when we adopted them we went straight into complicated toys, kitchen sets and hot wheel automotive centers. It all had to be put together. I had no idea how long it all took! We were up all night for the first several Christmases because I'm such a procrastinator!

I think it's great that you remember the seniors as well.
Merry Christmas
Dawn

I forgot, I wanted to mention how sweet all the ballerinas are! I can't dance to save my life, not to graceful either, but I stumbled upon a wonderful ballet blog that you may enjoy. Her name is Elise and she also commented on today's post so you can click there or follow this link:

She is a ballet journalist and her blog is BALLET NEWS. She is very sweet. Her posts are all interviews with ballerinas and she has the most beautiful photographs! I think you will enjoy it.

Deb ~ What beautiful creations your Father has made for you. Are they for outdoors? I am truly impressed.

What a clever & cute idea for bags.

Please make sure you follow the new blog as the old closes this week.

I love your idea about dropping crafts off at the nursing home! That is such a kind gesture! Our high temp today was only 7 degrees, BRRRR, it's Cold! Cindy

Deb, it looks as though you are having a ball, getting ready for Christmas! I love the idea of the cookie sacks! Most seniors do not need stuff, but some home baking, either to savour or to share with guests, is a good idea!!
I am starting to think that Christmas might be welcome here after all!!! After 15 years!
