Helpful reminders...

In one week it will be Christmas Eve...
don't forget to enjoy yourself...
don't sweat the small stuff...
Christmas is about being with the one's you love..
not about killing yourself to make everything perfect...
usually the best memories are the crazy things that went
wrong...This Thanksgiving my hubby cooked the turkey
on his smoker....well everything else was done...the ham...
all the fixings...but not the turkey....we ended up eating with
out the turkey....it was ready 2 hours later...and was the best
turkey ever...and the dinner was fine without it...no one
walked away hungry...
It takes weeks to prepare for Christmas....shopping...
wrapping...decorating....and 10 minutes later the presents
are open and you are throwing away the wrapping paper....
so enjoy yourself...enjoy your family...and
celebrate life.....make fun memories.....laugh...smile...
enjoy

Amen, good advice! Not fair that it takes so many hours to prepair the meal and only minutes to devour it/ha

These are great tips Deb. I don't think I've ever pulled off a perfect party. I love all the pictures in the previous post ♥

Hi, Deb ...

You're so right about some of the best memories being the ones when something didn't work out as perfectly as you had planned. Those are the ones you seem to talk about for years, rather than how good the turkey was.

I enjoyed seeing your family pictures from Christmases Past, and wish you and your family the best Christmas ever!

Great advice and reminders for all of us. It will be just my husband and I this year, so no stresses here, just some lovely time off work together! :)
