I had planned on doing a little series with my favorite photos of 2011...

but there were so many favorites that I could spend the first half of 2011 posting them...

so these were the 1st ones I picked...so I stopped there...

I've never been big on big celebrations for New Years eve...

my ideal New Years eve would be a nice quiet evening with my family...

looking a photos...remembering moments from the past year..

remembering loved ones from the past..

laughing...loving....and of course lots of photos...

I guess everyone has an idea of a perfect New Years eve...

unfortuantely some try to party too hard and end of starting the New Year..

not feeling so well....so my dear blogging friends...

how ever you decide to spend your New Years Eve...

I hope its safe and happy....and what you truly want...

we had a big year in 2011 here at the ladybugs place...

daughter turned 21...we went to Las Vegas for the 1st time...

found out I was going to be a grandma...

lost our sweet JD...what a good dog he was....

found out Nolan one of schnauzers is diabetic...

welcomed Little Britches into the world..

attended wedding of our sweet( adopted in our hearts) daughter...

welcomed her daughter into the world...

welcomed a new niece...

watched oldest niece graduate from high school and start college...

lost my BFF from high school's Mom to cancer...

lost my hubbies friend from chidhood's Mom to MS...

lost 2 long time customers...

watched our dance girls turn into beautiful young ladies...

reunited with friends from the past....

one in time to see him and relive old times before he passed...

got to start Camp Grammie...and spend every day with my Little Britches...

Hubby and celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary...

looking forward to 2011....and all it brings us...

stuffed animals...not the kind your thinking...

like why is this crazy lady taking photos??

so I put the camera back in my purse....

I just don't know how I feel about these kinds of stuffed animals...

I mean they are interesting...

and some I would never get that close to...

unless they were stuffed...

then you think some of them were killed just for display...

I would rather shoot with my camera...

but I understand hunting for food....

or to thin out over population...

we are having a bad feral hog problem in our area...

not so much on the trophy hunting..

but to each his or her own....

wonder how many fields it has cleared?

not really....but every time I cross one...

I think of the Johnny Cash song....

on my recent road trip....

I'm not doing New Years resolutions this year....
just gonna work on the ones from years past...
staying healthy...
keeping a positive attitude....
seeing the beauty and joy around me....
not judging others....
putting me up higher on my list of things to do....
so do you make New Years resolutions?

when I first saw the thorns..I thought I might could make stars out of them...
but at closer look realized they are individual...

we had our family Christmas today...
it was so much fun with my Little Britches...
and my new niece....babies make Christmas better....
and my beautiful daughter in law gave me a new phone..
mine was on it's last leg...was gonna break down and get one..
after the first of the year...so excited to learn how to use it...

and then there was one

hanging out by the light of the moon...

during the day time....

and then there was one....

quite a moon we've been having....

Don't forget to call a friend and wish them Merry Christmas...
or maybe include someone that will be alone....
and when you run to the corner store for that one last thing...

Yesterday on the 1st day of winter 2010...we were 80 degrees...

big changes....

he hasn't quite got the vision yet...but I'm working on it..

This old barn is on our property in Eureka...

this is the first time I've been able to get to it...

every time I've gone...it has either been too grown up...

or too muddy to get to....

oh my gosh my mind was going crazy...

looking at this old metal and wood....

my hubby hasn't quite got the vision yet...

but I'm working on it....

the things we could make with all this...



Day trip....

our road trip was to visit my Dad...

and this was our gift from him...

a fire pit.....I've been wanting one so bad....

so excited to try it out....

we had lunch here...

it is a buffet place....

hubby got his moneys worth for sure...

my Dad restores bicycles...

he has some really neat ones...

he even puts motors on some of them....

he does wood work on some...

I told him Santa might be looking for a helper....

maybe next year....if I'm a really good girl...

I might get one of these cool bikes....

I'm taking over.....I mean I'm guest hosting...shhhhhhh

shhh don't tell my Momma...

I'm taking over  writing her blog today....
