Hey Deb---tell you what I like the best---those old bridges out in the country---some of 'em have been there since the 1930s or so---and some of 'em can only take one vehicle at a time. I also love those rare covered bridges. Great post! Thanx...

Wow! Too cool. I love bridges, too... they are very symbolic. One of my favorite quotes is, "One of life's hardest lessons is learning which bridges to cross and which ones to burn." Stay warm.

For some reason, this bridge just irks me. I think because it's just 'out there' and doesn't blend with anything around it and it looks so abnormally high and thin. That must be it. If it was short and dumpy I could relate... :)

That's a big project but it will help in many ways when finished. I like bridges too, especially old ones.

I recently saw this and wondered what it was. (Where was I going? Maybe it was Christmas when we headed down south? I don't go downtown very often.) Nice to know what I was looking at. (I lean toward short and dumpy, too. Ha!)

What is it with building bridges of late? We are getting new bridge poor around here. This is quite a fancy bridge and it looks huge! I think some bridges are pretty and some are interesting and others I think go a bit out there. Thanks for sharing this. Hugs

Deb, my first thought was "well, Dallas can't be outdone, so she needs an iconic bridge" and then after reading the web site, I was really impressed. However, I am supposing this is being constructed with stimulus money. See your tax dollars at work...but impressive anyway.

So THAT'S what that big arch is??!!
I guess I have so NOT been paying attention! I have GOT to get out more. We don't take a newspaper or listen to many local news programs. Can you tell?
