Meet the blue jays....

The Blue jays stopped in for a little family brunch...

they seem to be enjoying the all you can eat buffet...

be patient...wait your turn...
Dad seems to be getting ansy...

had to move up higher...
the boarder patrol (AKA Rooster and Ginger)
were moving through....

headed for another look at the buffet....

we better go...that patrol is hanging around...

Blue Jays are usually pretty aggressive--I'm surprised they let the Border Patrol stop them, LOL!
Been seeing lots of Cardinals lately, but dang they are hard to catch on film.

I do love the blue jays! They just started coming back a few years ago. The West Nile virus got to them so we missed seeing them for awhile. They congregate in a tree in our back yard. One year they nested and while their babies were still in the nest they would dive bomb us if we came around. Our herb garden was out by the fence at that time and my son would put a pan over his head before going out to pick some. Man!! That was like 15 years ago! Love my memories! Thanks for rekindling that one!

I don't think we have them in my area. At least I have never seen one if we do. They are very pretty.
