It has been a wonderful 4th of July weekend....
Friday started with me at the lake at 7:30 am...
getting our spot reserved....
I brought my flags along....
to show our true American Spirit...
our jet skis finally running...
well...most of the time...
they still have a few kinks that need working out...
they got lot's of runs....
this beautiful flower...is in my garden....
another beautiful flower....
my Mom...
young love....
ain't it grand....
my daughters boyfriend is definitely a keeper...
we had a great group...
of family and adopted family....
kids and grownups...
we even managed to meet a few new folks...
it was a beautiful day.....
fun people...
good food...
lot's of laughing and fun...
"J" was our safety patrol...
he made sure everyone stayed safe on the jet skis...
there is nothing better...
than seeing a Mom and child...
loving each other....
except for maybe this tough guy...
tough on the outside...
squishy on the inside...
this was our table...
didn't take long to fill it up...
with special people...
good stories...good food...
awesome memories...
Speed Racer....
I am told these are May flies...
they were all over the trees...
every time you walked past a Mesquite tree...
they went to flying...
we decided they looked more like Fairy's...
made it easier to be around them...
they scared my poor niece to death...
she had never been around that many bugs at one time...
Yesterday Mom and I canned 12 quarts...
4 jalapenos...and 8 pickles....
it sure was fun working with her...
using the bounty from my garden...

your mom is a beautiful flower in your garden of family.. loved all the pics.. i assume rooster had to stay home since he is not showing in the lake.. such a beautiful spot to spend the day and it did not look crowded at all.
forgot to say, have never seen a may fly and they do look a tad scary
