It was a beautiful Texas day....

we've had several beautiful days...

grahm crackers are a must snack...

 we have been spending as much time as possible....

soaking up the sun shine and warmness...

cause it is all about to change once again...

we have started watching American Idol again...

we skipped a few seasons...

I really like the judges now...

Sunday we went to see American Sniper....

a very good movie...

it really makes you appreciate what our military...

and their families go through...

My good friend has lived this...

Her Hubby has been in the National Guard

for over 30 years his rank is as high as you can go

in the National Guard...he has done tours

in the Middle East...her SIL was also there...

they give up a lot...and miss a lot to protect us..

these should be the heroes...

not athletes and celebrities....

it has been a busy January...

not much time for blogging...

but lot's of time with family and friends...

Last night was our first Fun Girls night of 2015...

I can't believe it was a year ago when we started our group...

 we had a fun time...

good food...

good conversations...

a fun craft...

wrapping bottles (wine, beer, pickle jars) with yarn...

or twine...

 String bean came to see us today....

while his Mommy and Daddy went to see...

American Sniper...

now Hubby and I are going to see it...

String bean asked Pawpaw to add exhaust on his trike...

so it would go faster....

Happy Sunday...

now off to the movies...

I'm not a big fan of Valentine's Day...

the commercial part of it...

but I do love the decorations...

 and the idea of it...

the love part...

 I like to put my own spin on it...

February is a special  month to me...

My Nana was born in February....

she would be celebrating her 101 birthday this year...

My daughter was born in February...

Hubby and I got married in February...

will be 32 years this year...

I even like ground hogs day...

it let's us know how long to Spring...

 what do you do when it's too cold outside...

to play in the sand box?

You play in flour of course....

 yes it is messy...

and gets every where...

but you know what...

it vacuums up just fine...

 a certain little boy had a ton of fun....

his imagination went wild...

he played for hours...isn't that what it is all about...

 I'm excited...

more of my family and friends...

are going Paleo...

going healthy...not dieting...

what is nice...

we are all looking out for each other...

finding good deals on the foods we eat...

where we use to talk about the places we went out to eat...

or the recipes for foods that were great when you ate them..

but later you had regrets...

now we are sharing recipes...

but the food makes us feel good...not bad...

fresh...non processed...food...

it's not a fad...it's not a diet...

it's just a way of living...

 Mother Nature has been on a roll...

here in Texas...

EARTH Quakes....Frigid temperatures...

we aren't really equipped for that here...

we have to dig for really warm clothing...

the Earth quakes have caused quite a stir...

10 in one day...

I felt most of them...

not a fun feeling...

so far no major damage for anyone...

does give everyone something to talk about on Facebook...

they seem to start from the location...

where Texas stadium was..

it was blown up a few years back...

lot's of Cowboys....Tom Landry jokes going around...

 On the bright side...

the sun is shining...

we are all healthy...

that is what is important....

 having a good attitude...

can make all the difference in the world...

the wind grabbed the stroller...down the hill it went...

into the pond...

all the babies things... car keys...shoes...

were all in the stroller...

thankfully baby was in Daddy's safe arms...

 Dad (Grandpa) came to the rescue...

he saved the shoes...

 All the guys pitched in...

pulled everything out...

then they realized...

the car keys were missing...

the water was ice cold...

but the brave men...

kept at it...

 guess who found the keys....

who would have thought...

everything was recovered...

no one was injured...

just a little muddy...wet..and cold...

everyone had a big laugh about it...

AFTER it was all over...

sometimes just having the right attitude...

can make everything turn out right...

 I think my Christmas tree looks better since I put it outside...

the rain and cold weather...

we have a lot of mistletoe this year...

some say it kills trees...but so far...

none of my trees have died from it...

I posted a photo of it on facebook before Christmas..

with kissed all around it...

someone asked me why I loved that bush so much...

I guess she didn't know what mistletoe was...

 this is my grapevine...

I'm hoping it comes back in the spring...

and we get grapes...

can you tell I'm ready for spring???

she always makes me smile...

we started the year COLD...and rainy...

 Since the weather was and is so dreary...

I decided to pull out some more cheery ones...

 The holidays sure were nice...

feeling truly blessed...

but....

I'm ready to get back to a regular schedule...

yesterday felt like Sunday...

Today seems like Monday...

who needs two Monday's in one week....

Every year.....I decide to get more organized...

once again this year....I want to do the same...

some things last all year...

other's not so much...

My big goal is to get and keep my photos organized...

I bought a new storage for my digital photos...

It is 2T which means alot...

so I'm told ...

my computer is happy to get some relief...

because as you know...

I take A LOT of photos...

I also plan on printing more this year...

put them in albums...

so I'm watching for the sales...

I also plan on taking one photo of Stringbean...

everyday in the same place...

so at the end of the year...

I can put all together...

watch the changes...
