Saturday was a cold day...not as cold as it is right now...
we never got out of the 20's today...
Hubby and I took the dogs for a walk...
about 2 3/4 miles walk...
I wish I would have had my long lens on...
beautiful King fisher...he just sat there letting me admire him...

Rooster of course still loves playing ball...
any ball...tennis...basketball...soccer...football...

This is the first time we've let Ginger off the leash on our hikes...
she did great...she would turn and look for me...
she even came up to me on her own when we were headed back...
ready to go on her leash...

 this is always my view...
they are always way ahead of me...
Hubby has long legs and walks fast...
I have short legs and take lots of photos...
Every little bit one of them turns to check on me...

I love walking through the woods...
treadmills are too boring...I feel like I'm not getting anywhere...

Can't believe it's Tuesday already...
Stringbean went back to school today...
Christmas break went by way too fast....
The week between Christmas and New Years is always a strange week...
we spend so much time getting ready for Christmas...
then it is over so quickly...
then we anticipate the end of the year and the beginning of a new year...
now time to get back to some kind of normalcy...
Today is my dear friend Charlotte's birthday...
I've know her since we were 15 and in drill team together...

I have adopted her as my Sister...
she is the sweetest...kindest...gentlest person you will ever meet...
she always has a Hug and a Smile for you...
she is so thoughtful...always willing to pitch in without you even asking her...
So Happy Birthday Month sweet Sister....

I love your 'walk' photos. Where is this?
Yes, I noticed school was getting out this afternoon as I was out and about.
The quads start back on the 9th. I will go pick them up tomorrow and keep them until bedtime. Amber is sick and Mike is working. I'm glad for this extra day with them. Going to school has been such a shock to our routine of the past 5 years where we were with the quads as much as we were apart. Change is always a challenge and change is good. We want them to grow up. We move on and so do they....but we remain connected.....in spirit and in heart.
Love reading your posts!!! Please keep them coming!!!

I can't believe that both you and Linda were outside walking in weather that was in the twenties I would be huddled inside the house. Our high yesterday was 50 and I couldn't stand to be outside

Sounds like your "adopted" sister is one to keep in your court. Hope she had a Happy Birthday. Thanks for taking us on your walk. It was pretty but did look a little chilly.
Stay warm. Happy New Year
