Doing guy things....

 

Hotrods favorite thing to do now...

is hang out in the truck...

Ginger is going along for the ride....

there is so much for a little boy to do in a truck...

drive...climb..listen to music...

honk horns...

 

hang out with your dog....



serious guy talk with Pawpaw....



not so serious guy talk....

the dogs all like to go for a ride...

in the truck that is going no where...

I remember when I was little...

My Pawpaw would let us hang out with him in his vehicle...

first his Jeep...when I was really little...

then his T-bird when I was a little older...

he would let us drive....

he would drive us up and down the drive way...

spinning the tires...or reeving the motor...

a real bonding time...

Hotrod and his Pawpaw have been doing the same thing...

 

 

 I just couldn't resist sharing this one...

Big Brother was so patient...

 

 I love a red house...

not sure what it was used for...

but thought it was so cool....

 

 a nice little view....no ducks though...

maybe hiding....

 I'm thinking it is time for a little fishing...

Mom....get out your fishing gear....

we need a ladies day at the lake....

 yellow flowers just make me smile....

 

 even when they are about gone...

that yellow still hangs on enough...

to make me smile...

 I've had several people tell me this one should be framed...

I'm thinking I just might have to do that....

 

Brr we are nippy here in Texas...

at 4:30 am it was 72 degrees...

at 6:30 it was 50 degrees....

the sun is shining...

after 3 days of rain and drizzle...and gray...
the sun is very welcome....
even if it is COLD...



I love capturing people...

just doing their own thing....

 professional posed photos are okay...

but I like people...(or animals)...

just being them selves...

 

 kids being kids....

 

 laughing...jumping....

 rolling on the grass...

playing with sticks...

 

 playing dead for your little brother...

when he shoots you with a stick...

or catching a special moment between two people...

I had such an awesome time with this family....



little missy is one of my daughters dance students....

oh she reminds me so much of my daughter...

when she was that age....

I could just follow this family around....

like the paparazzi taking photos of them all day....



it started raining this morning here in Texas...

no storms...just rain....

we need it of course....

 

but it has really stirred up the allergies....

I was shopping on Saturday...

you could hear sneezing all over the store....

or throat clearing...nose blowing...

Friday was my Dad and Step Mom's 50th wedding anniversary...

Happy anniversary you two....

a big accomplishment...

Also my Dad won a plaque in a car show on Saturday...

way to go Dad...

 

Had a good day with Hotrod ...

he was a Pawpaw's boy...

he is really starting to enjoy hanging out with his Pawpaw...

we have a lot of bricks stacked up outside...

Hotrod and Pawpaw used them like blocks...

they were building a house...

unfortunately Rooster played big bad wolf...

and knocked them down...

he was supposed to jump into the house...

not on the house....

 



Hotrod also "drove" Pawpaws truck...

they took Rooster with them...

Hotrod told me he had to honk...to keep people out of their way...

Rooster enjoyed the "ride"....

Sitting in a truck...with his Pawpaw...and his Rooster...

a wonderful adventure....

for all 3...

making memories...a very thankful Oma...

 

Happy Birthday Mom

I had an awesome time with a wonderful family...

they were so much fun...

I could have spent all day long with them...

he is one year older than Hotrod....

little boys are so much fun....

so curious....

 Today is my Mom's Birthday....

her 27th as my brother told her...

I don't know how she does it...

we are getting older...

but she is not....

 we had a wonderful girls afternoon....

my daughter did a great job....

 

we talked...we laughed...we ate...

we ate....we ate...

we watched On Golden Pond...

it was the first time for several of the girls...

Happy Birthday Mom...

I love you to the moon and back...

a gazillion million trillion times....

the lady in red is one of my Mom's childhood friends...

she always reminded me of Doris Day when I was growing up...

so Happy she is in my Mom's life...

 we had Art Day....

 

 Hotrod likes to have more on his hands....

than on the paper sometimes...

 

 a muffin pan makes the perfect paint holder...

clean up is a snap....

 I got in on the action too.....

 Hotrod thinks I'm a true artist...

lol....for now any way....

 Hotrod was a pirate this year....

he had a very busy Halloween Day....

Party...parade and carnival at school...

brought him home for a nap...

then back for another carnival...

 my daughter the cutest little witchy poo...

 

 Hotrod had fun playing the games....

at first he was a little over whelmed by it all...

then he saw some of his friends from school...

he settled right in...

 my Halloween present to my Daughter...

gotta love Betty Boop....

Hotrod worked really hard putting the face on the pumpkin...

 he has a very artsy take on it....

trick or treater's started before dark at our house...

we did not give out candy this year....

I just kept the light off...

you would be amazed how many still go to the door...

checking on us...

the flooding wasn't in our area...

but South East Texas was sure hit...

Prayers to all hoping everyone is safe...

and not too much damage...

we got just the right amount of rain...

the winds were really blowing yesterday...

but it was a nice evening for Halloween...

I get to have a photo shoot with a sweet family this weekend...

so beware....photo overload will be coming...

Also a girls day at my daughters house...
