A fun weekend

Friday night Hubby and I went to a free concert at the Texas Musicians Museum 

It was a HOT day but turned into a nice evening....the singer was good just a man and his guitar singing songs he had written .,,.he did a 3 hour set no breaks...

This is what Stringbean did Friday night...

He had a play date with friends from his old school....

Saturday night we went back to the Texas Musicians Museum again for another free concert and guess who joined us...

Linda from Linda's Life Journal and her handsome Hubby LD....

We enjoyed another good show....

Mom joined us too! Good company ....good music .,.

Good laughs....

Sunday was family fun day at the lake...

Our lakes have been closed all summer do to out flooding in the Spring...

Sunday evening Mom and I went for our walk...I brought cracked corn for the ducks and Geese.,,they loved it....

At the end of our walk a perfect sunset to end a wonderful weekend...feeling blessed...

 On Saturday my Mom and I were walking...

at our favorite park...

we noticed how many perch there were...

all sizes...lot's and lot's of them...

I told Hubby about it...

so we made a date with Stringbean....

we picked him up at 8:00 am this morning...

he put his hook in the water...

boom he had a fish....

he caught atleast a dozen of them in 30 minutes...

Pawpaw was catching them too...

I was having a hard time getting photos...

I had to keep pulling fish off of hooks...

It has been a hard adjustment for me...

Stringbean is in kindergarten...

he's been in school for two weeks now...

8-3 except on Wednesday they get out at 2...

We now have milkshake Wednesday....

instead of milkshake Tuesday...

I'm happy I get to take him to school every morning...

so I get 45 minutes to 1 hour with him before school...

then I pick him up and have a few hours...

Wednesday is my favorite day now...

that extra hour is sure nice...

I know school is good for him...

but it sure is hard on me...

he's been with me since he was 8 weeks old...

the time has gone by too fast...

I've been very sentimental looking a photos...

we are getting a good routine going...

How many days till school is out for Summer????

This is Dawg....the former Lucy...

Yep he started crowing a few weeks ago...

This is Ace...she is supposed to be a hen...just got her today...

She was free...the tiniest  of them all...she was getting picked on by the crowd...the man asked if I would take her...

She is doing well with her 3 sisters...

We hit 100 for the first time this year...

What a trouper this little beauty was....

Dance girls are tough and dedicated...

I had a nice weekend...just went by too fast....

Saturday my Mom and I went to the opening of the Texas musicians museum...located in the downtown district of our city...lots of good Texas music was performed...the museum holds lots of cool memories...

Saturday evening was a fun time with my Fun Girls....

We did a painting class...

I'm am definitely not a painter...

It sure was fun!!!

I might hang mine in the garden to scare off critters....

This is located in Deep Ellum close to downtown Dallas... There are lots of walls and buildings with beautiful paintings...

And interesting sculptures

Flowers....

I do so enjoy the both...

I love sunflowers and zinnias ...

they both stand up to the summers heat

They both make me smile...

The heat is here in Texas....

But I'm not going to complain...

Neither is Dawg (the former Lucy)

He spends his days watching over the girls...

A few more months and we should have eggs...

Stringbean start school in a few weeks I am already dreading it...

It was a very HOT day ...

But it didn't stop us ...

We went to the horse track to see...

Birthday boy....🎉🎈🎁75 years young...

Hubby had a blast too...

We had so much fun we didn't let the 

Hot temps or the 20,000 people ...

Bother us...

I'm so blessed to have all of them in my life
