A little this...a little that....

my hubby makes popcorn on the stovetop...

he uses this stainless mixing bowl...

puts a little olive oil in the bottom...

heats up...adds the popcorn...

and cooks over the fire...he has found

the popcorn is better using the grease catcher...

he puts a wets a dish towel...to have ready

when it stops popping to cool off quickly..

keeps from burning the popcorn...

better than Jiffy Pop...

thought I would show a little contrasts

of our Texas skys....

it is February....the month of love....

A little message to my regular followers...

I joined in on One World One Heart...

thought it would be a good way to find blogs

from all over the world...just a little warning...

there are some that might not be your cup of tea..

but there are some that you will be glad you found...

Hi Deb,
I haven't made popcorn like that in ages! YUM! Michael loves the microwave stuff so we buy that. I know, it's horribly unhealthy! I can't use Jiffy Pop anymore because I have a ceramic cooktop and it will scratch it. I'll have to pull out the old air popper!Hugs, Loretta

I love making popcorn the old fashioned way. We have an air popper but it's so loud and shoots it everywhere. We always burn the microwave kind or leave half of it unpopped trying not to burn it.

Dawn

What a unique old fashioned way to make popcorn. We get so reliant on those microwave bags now. It's nice to try the old way. Healthier, too.

I entered a bunch of the One World One Heart contests last year and one a few times. It was a lot of fun visiting some new blogs, too.
