my Gerber Daisy....
in a little morning sunshine...
it is in shade the rest of the day...
that's the good...
these poor Zinnias just could not take the heat...
these are definately the ugly....
I think this is maize...probably from the bird seed last year..
it seems to be holding up well...
see what the Texas heat does to the grass...
my mid afternoon it's looking sad...
poor things...they are trying to stay strong...
even the pepper plants fade...
I soaked it last night and again this morning...
dry as a bone now...
this guy is getting quite the work out...
cool front tomorrow...
102....woo hoo....can't wait....

The Gerber daisy seems happy no matter what. We've had a lot of heat, too, but not 102! Hope the cool front makes a significant difference.
We have had a hot summer, too. I find it miserable and it's only in the mid 80's every day.
I love that rusty can you used as a vase in your header.
Enjoy the front.....
We are expecting one on Friday....hopefully!
102 is our cool front...LOL...we've been at 105 - 106...
Mercy me... it is one hot summer. The plants are wilted EVERY afternoon... some of them won't be able to hold up much longer.
We even have the heat in Wisconsin Deb. It was in the 90's today with high humidity. Our saving grace is that we've had so much rain everything is still very green. My plants though are struggling too.
Hugs,
Cindy
I cannot believe the plants are dry so soon, when you are watering them a couple times a day! Maybe there are advantages to having this sort of humidity - at least the plants take longer to dry out!
I always read on the blogs about the Texas heat! I have to say, we have had one of the coolest summers in a long time. It has been beautiful out, although my gardens definately need some attention!!
Take care, Sue
Here's to a cool front!!!!
The heat & humidity are taking its toll on our plants, too.
