Rest in Peace....old friend...

good bye old friend...

you have given us shade...
you have given shelter to birds...and squirrels...
but now you have become dangerous....
and we have to send you to tree heaven...
you will be missed by all....
as I'm writing this....
I hear the chain saws humming...
see your branches falling...
Rest in peace....

When they get dangerous, they have to go. But I'm glad you will mourn it a bit.

Awe, what a shame! Saying goodbye to an old tree is much harder than losing a cracked patio. Maybe that sweet grandson can help you plant a new one in the spring.

Gosh, that almost makes me tear up a little. I'm a self proclaimed tree hugging hippie. I hope you still have some shade left from another tree.

It is sort of sad, isn't it?

Hope you enjoy a great, blessed weekend!

Aw, it's sad to see a good tree go. But if it's rotten and dangerous, removing it is for the best.

It's sad because we become attached to our trees too!
Hey Deb, I am trying to get caught up with my blogging. My daughter is doing well. She is a bit cranky and hormony (is that a word) but I think she is just ready to be unpregnant again.
Take Care and enjoy your weekend.
I bet it's still pretty warm there. We are about 70's for our highs so it really is moving into fall.

Hugs,
Cindy
