Great captures of the birds gathering their nesting materials. I like the natural nests, too, but some birds are cavity nesters and they don't build 'bird nests' as we think of them!

Hi Deb!
Just scrolled through the posts I've missed! Love the itchy squirrel:))

My 16 year old is sitting with me- and we were curious...what type of bird is on your header? He's my bird lover:)

I think I prefer homemade ones too:)

Awesome shots of the birds gathering nesting materials! I like the homemade better than citified too!

We have several 'manmade' ones....and one made from a gourd. They are all full to overflowing....and I love watching all this activity!
Love seeing YOUR flock and their nests!

Great bird shots, Deb! I love to hear all the singing they are doing right now! You know we will be seeing the baby birds soon!

It won't be long before my beloved swallows again appear in our north Texas skies---and then I can do a blog post on the unique, permanent nest they have made under the eave on our patio. Great shots!

How exciting to watch the birds make their nests! I have a big wreath on the side of my garage and the robins used to use it every year for a nest. Unfortunatley they have ignored it the past few years. I am hoping they make a nest this year. It's so fun to watch the whole process.

I love watching birds getting their nests ready for hatching babies. A wren built a nest in the wreath on our front porch a couple of years ago, it was fun watching the daddy wren watch over it and seeing the babies hatch and grow.

Great pictures sweet Deb! Hugs

Oh, you've been bird watching too! Great photos and the cardinal in your header is beautiful. I enjoy watching them build their nests and watching them buzz in and out when the babies are hatched. We had a nest in a rose bush one year that provided lots of great shots. I'll have to repost them this spring! Thanks for your visits to CITexas Gal. It's always good to share Our Beautiful Texas!

If there is anything good about winter and bare trees...it is being able to see all the nests that have been built. Currently empty, I know come Spring, they will be homes again.
