It was 99 100 degrees here in Texas today.....

another record day...

the cool front is headed our way...

it starting lightning around 9:00 pm...

then the winds really kicked up....

we got a heavy rain storm...

it only lasted about 10- 15 minutes...

but hey rain is rain....right...

The Texas Rangers are in the playoffs...

an awesome thing for us Texans...

two years in a row....

The State Fair of Texas opens this weekend...

this week has flown by...

can't believe tomorrow is already Friday...

guess I better get busy deciding what to do this weekend...

Hubby and I saw Moneyball last weekend...

I loved it..

what is better than Brad Pitt and baseball all in one movie...

I love baseball movies...

 seeing Brad Pitt just makes it a little better....

there is something about a man in a cowboy hat...

it instantly makes them look a little taller...

a little prouder (is that a word??)

now this hat fits this guy...

very Irish...

does a black hat make a man a bad guy???

in the old westerns you knew the good guy...

he had a white hat...

the bad guy...

had a black hat...

cowboy hats are my favorite..

(A Texas thing I guess)

but I love all types of hat...

even a ball cap...

Friday Fall Family Fun

before each race....I think he had a system...

I love watching little boys...

they play so different from girls...

family night...

her Grandpa had bought her a horse...

she was headed to show her new horse...

the big horses running...

these kiddos were getting their groove on....

it was so nice to see so many familes enjoying themselves...

I bet they slept good that night...

now this guy is having fun....

I love people watching...

hubby and I usually watch...

then decide what they are talking about...

how they are related....if they are happy...

if they are mad....

wonder how often we are right...

how often we are wrong...

but here in Texas....

we are bouncing back and forth....

our temps are jumping back in forth...

70's to upper 90's..

fall decorations are popping up every where you look...

football is in full swing...

baseball is headed for the play offs..

Go RANGERS.....

believe it or not....

Christmas decorations are showing up at the stores..

now this drives me nuts....

it's too early....

I understand craft stores....

people that are making gifts and decorations....

need the supplies now....

but the Dollar Store....

I'm not enjoying it being dark in the mornings...

it sure makes it hard to get up....

 

the below 100 temps are a lot nicer...

love being able to spend more time outdoors...

without feeling like I'm in an oven...

she spends a lot of time out here...

I can see why....

very relaxing...peaceful....

Fun family day....

my Mom had us all over for a family meal...

it was awesome....

after lunch we loaded up the babies....

packed up the gear...

headed to the park....

the babies loved the wagon ride....

we were going to feed the ducks....

we ended up feeding the pidgeons...

I think the ducks must have been feed alot...

they weren't in the least bit interested...

it was a beautiful day...

I think a lot of folks had our same idea...

my niece didn't mind...

this was her 1st experience feeding birds...

little britches wasn't impressed with the birds...

he wanted to explore.....

so he took Mommie and Daddy for a walk...

hubby even enjoyed feeding the pidgeons....

fun family time....

my Mom enjoying her granddaughter....

and great grandson...

the both love Nanny....

time to head back.....

and we are off....

back home safe and sound....

two tired babies...

two tired Mommies...

two tired Daddies...

a happy Oma...

a happy Boppy....

a happy Nanny......
