Warning...super cute baby photos....

well I warned ya....

Super cute little baby E....

 he is growing so fast...

such a little sweetie pie...

 

 my daughter had to change him several times...

just to try out all his cute little outfits...

hmmm wonder where she got that from...

I used to dress her up like a little doll...

take tons of photos...

wish I would have had the camera I have now...

back then...oh boy would I have had fun...

 

 we took the big plunge...

Hubby tilled us up a big spot...

now we have our container garden...

plus a ground garden too....

 it took a couple of seasons...

but we finally figured out our garden problem...

it was so obvious too...

Our container was painted black...and metal...

well it did great at the beginning of the season...

then it would just go to you know where...

well silly us...

we weren't thinking how the black...

was probably burning up our root systems...

we would water more...and then get root rot..

 

so we have now replaced the sides of our garden planter...

we are going to paint it white to reflect the sun away...

we think we have found the cure...

we thought in the past maybe we had bad soil...

or bad plants...

we are hoping for a great bounty this year...

Tomatoes...peppers...cucumbers...squash...

cilantro...green beans...spinach...

brussel sprouts...all planted...

we are going to add zucchini and peas...

we bought a sealer system...

hopefully we will be able to store our bounty...

enjoy some tasty veggies through out the winter...

everyone knows I like rusty.....dusty...and old...

which includes my Hubby (wink wink)....



today is a hard day for our family....

Nolan...our schnauzer has crossed the rainbow bridge...

he has been a member of our family for 12 years...

 



he became diabetic 3 or 4 years ago...

had bouts with his pancreas...

his teeth had started falling out...

and he was blind....

still he was a trouper...

a true Sergeant...

which is his official name...

Sergeant Nolan...

because he marched around like a drill seargeant...

we were fortunate to have a baby visitor today...

to keep our minds off of it...

Hotrod is loving the baby around...

he loves babies...

 It was a busy weekend....

this is the first time I've been on my laptop since Friday...

I did check Facebook on my phone a few times...

I got a call from my Dad and my Mom...

checking on me...since I haven't been posting much...

I have my posts emailed to them...

evidently a few of my last posts were sent back...

undeliverable...I don't know why...

 I've been working on projects...

Hotrod spent the night Saturday night...

we watched Jungle Book...he had never seen it...

neither had Hubby...he couldn't believe it was made in 1967..

he thought it had come out in the 80's...

I think he enjoyed it as much if not more that Hotrod...

we had to watch it again this morning...

 Hotrod and his classmates from school...

sang at church this morning...

they were so darn cute...

 

 Hotrod stayed with us Saturday morning...

his Mommy and Daddy both had to work....

he spent a lot of time driving his new car...

 

 His Mommy picked him up around lunch time...

I was able to sneak off and have a late lunch with my BFF...

we had a nice time catching up...

comparing Grandson stories...hers just turned 2...

we always have fun together...

I got some gardening done...

I started working on punching holes in bottle caps...

My Fun Girls group will be making...

wind chimes out of them in May...

now I am ready to crash...

get ready for a new week....



 Hubby called me this morning...

the neighbors are having a garage sale...

go see if there is anything good...

well look what Hotrod saw as soon as we walked up...

he loves VW bugs...

 

 oh boy...thank you Pawpaw...

I asked them how much...

$15 but needs a new battery...

Hotrod already fell in love with it...

I offered them $10...they took it...

so off we went carrying it home...

 The seat is missing...

Hubby tried to charge the battery...

it charged for a minute...so we atleast know it will run...

 

 I asked Hotrod what he was thinking about...

he said how to put a new seat in it...

and could Pawpaw fix the battery....

 Pawpaw is building a seat...

with left overs from recovering the jet ski seat...

and located the battery...locally...

 

 can't you just see the wheels turning in his head...

 

he sure keeps us on our toes around here!!!
