I think fences are more to show boundaries....
some are more ornamental....
more for looks...
others you can tell have been around for years...
some make a good resting place....

Yes and my favorite fence is the white picket fence around old houses.

One of these days, I'm gonna's do one myself. :-) If I remember... LOL!
I used to do theme posting on a Daily Photo Blog I belonged to. I love little balconies and happen to live in a city with lots of old Victorian houses/buildings. So it was great fun to go around and scope-out all sorts of balconies.
When the weather really leaves cold winds behind, I just might go do the same, all over again. :-)
