Saturday went thrift shopping...
stopped a new thrift store....
it was called an upscale thift store...
should have been my 1st clue...
they wanted way above thrift store prices..
on alot of their things...
this chair $89....almost as much as a new one...
cute lil bunny...
but not in the market for bunnies...
cute purse...but not what I was looking for...
at the next thrift store....found this...
good rules to live by...
more bunnies...
thought I would get a few spring photos in...
I'm giving my daughter in law a western themed baby shower...
not a lot of luck today...
now these were a blast from the past...
looks like patterns my Mom used for me...
I had several of these little jumpers...
I believe my Mom had this one for herself...
a little more spring...
pretty blue...but not for 3.99 each...
didn't have a lot of luck on Saturday...
but that is why I started early...
next time I might hit the motherload....

You did see some cute things, I like the chair too but I have to agree.... that was not a thrift store price.
I think my mom used that exact pattern to make my doubleknit pants that I had to wear while all the other kids wore jeans. Then when the doubleknit pants got too short she would add a coordinating fabric onto the bottom of the pant leg. Totally dorky! Thanks Mom!
The blue glasses are pretty. I love to go to thrift stores but haven't had a chance to do so in awhile.
I sure did love that chair but that does seem kinda high for a thrift store. Hope you are able to find what you're looking for for the baby shower. That does sound like a lot of fun.
Those are some old patterns. I'm guessing they are from the early 70's late 60's.
I love the chair and the blue glasses
Hi Deb! Love those bunnies...so springy!...Debbie
Oh but I bet you had fun browsing around!
Enjoyed browsing the thrift store with you!
That's the fun of thrift shopping...some days nothing, some days you need a van to take it all home! Enjoyed the photos!
I can't believe that chair cost that much! I was loving it til you said the price.
Seeing the patterns crack me up. My mom use to make lots of my clothes too. I think I may have worn one or two of those outfits.
Love the chair! Those patterns bring back memories !!!! Interesting photos from previous posts! Lovely to browse through!
I love thrift store shopping, you never know what you are going to find! And my mom had those same patterns to sew my clothes too!!
I hear plaid is giong to be big this year. Gives me the shivers, at least when it relates to polyester pants! Somehow I don't mind it on a nice cotton cowboy shirt.
I went to GW today and was out in 5 minutes, nothing! A western baby shower sounds cute, hope you share what you come up with.
Hugs,
Dawn
Hey Deb -
Sorry your thrifting was a bust! Nice chair, but not very thrifty! Better luck next time - you're right - you just never know when the next time you'll get lucky and find the very thing that you've been looking for! OR a new treasure that you didn't know you were looking for but since you see it now you have to have it! (run-on sentence there)
Have a great week!!!
Saw you were from Texas! I had to stop in and say Hello! I'm Meme from Screaming Meme...it is so nice to meet you...Stop in anytime for a visit!
Seriously, I think I did have that very same skort/culottes!
And tell them UPSCALE and THRIFT should not be used in the same sentence; the store is one or the other!
Those patterns are so funny. The children's things look like something I could have worn too. I hope you have better luck next time around!
