when I was a kid...I loved to take a quilt outside....

lay on the ground and look at the sky....

do you see the upside down heart at the bottom???

when my kids were young...we did the same thing...

do you see the two angels dancing....

Where's our fishin' hole???

the river is still up....

we've had a lot of rain this year...

last year this is where we could ride the motorcycle

down in to the ponds to fish...

hopefully it will be down this week...

and we can get to our fishing hole....

Beautiful...but with consequences...

I don't know what this wildflower is...

but I do know you don't want to pick it...

bare handed...I learned the hard way...

several years ago I saw a bunch on the side of the road...

pulled over...grabbed a hold...and got little thorns...

the type that sting...all in my hands...now...

I just admire them....no picking them....

What will I do this weekend?

 Enjoy a little summer time.....

a float in the pool....

maybe  have some lemonaide or iced tea....

and catch a few rays....

maybe run through the sprinkler....

watch the birds eat.....

and I noticed the shadows on our building...

these were not taken in Sepia...but almost look

like they are....I thought they were very interesting....

kind of the still of the day....before it turned dark....

A little fun with Sepia....

I was having a little fun with my Sepia setting...

these were taken at the river bottoms....

Zinnias....

Zinnias are one of my favorite flowers....

they bloom all the way into the fall here in Texas...

filled up my bucket on the front porch with them...

I get a lot of afternoon sun....and they seem to enjoy it....

found a red wasp nest in my latern...

he was actually posing for the camera...

he didn't fly away...or try to sting me....

Dancers

Thursday night we went to a dance show at Booker T Washington school of the Arts..

there were 3 students there that my daughter has taught...

we were very proud of the girls....

this is a wonderful school...

As the song says "I hope you dance"
