I don't know what this wildflower is...
but I do know you don't want to pick it...
bare handed...I learned the hard way...
several years ago I saw a bunch on the side of the road...
pulled over...grabbed a hold...and got little thorns...
the type that sting...all in my hands...now...
I just admire them....no picking them....

Yes'm! Thistles are only beautiful to look at... and if there is a huge, huge field of them, they smell wonderful. We have them at our deer lease.

I agree that that is a thistle flower but shame on you Deb lol you KNOW it's illegal to pick wildflowers in Texas ;) Of course I've done it myself. Sometimes you can't resist!! Happy Memorial Day!
Something so pretty shouldn't hurt so much!! Thistle, stinging nettle...pretty to look at but no fun to hold!
