I've been reading all the nice posts about 9/11...
this day means so many different things...
to so many people...
today is the 16th birthday of one of our sweet friends...
one of my daughters childhood friends turns 22 today....
the rest of their lives their birthday will be associated with 9/11...
this could be a sad thing....
or it could be another reason to rejoice...
think how you felt on that day...
think how you felt the next day...
Thank you to all our military men and women...
who risk their lives...who put their families on hold..
to keep us safe and sound...
I read a nice post by Cynthia at An Accomplished woman ...
she inspires me....she mows her neighbors yard...
if everyone does one thing....for one person...
it would be a nicer world...
you may not be able to change something big...
but if you do one nice thing for one person...
and that person does one nice thing....
as a community....as a neighborhood...
as a church...or school group...
we can take care of our United States citizens....
with out the beauracy (?) of our government...
If the communities take care of their own...
if families take care of their own...
there would be no way for the Fat Cats in DC...
to line their pockets with the kickbacks they get from special interest groups..
so today on this day of rememberance...
think about what you can do for one person...
mow their yard...pick up a few groceries...
walk their dog....watch their children...
volunteer at a nursing home...volunteer at a school...
one thing...one person...one nation under God....
God Bless the USA....
God Bless Texas...
and God Bless you....

A very good friend of mine, has a daughter born today, as well.
But........
May we never forget!
This is a lovely post Deb. Small acts of kindness go a long way in making our communities better places to live. Beautifully put!
Very nice thoughts on how to remember this day.
Amen....very well said!
Beautiful post. You have a good heart, Deb!
Thank you everyone....
...and God Bless Ladybug and that adorable grandson! Great post, Deb. Congratulations on your new grandbaby and happy Grandparents Day to you, also. xoxo Nanny (Nancy)
