Not long after the train was running, my kids and I took the train from one end to the other. We enjoyed all the scenery. Love stopping at the Farmers Market! Good pics, Deb.
Great means of transportation....some days when I am visiting my daughter she takes the train and leaves me her car...very handy since it stops at her work.
I haven't done that in years! A "million years"! Back in college, I took the train down the river to across from West Point. Took a ferry over to the Point, for weekends with a Cadet. :-)
Mmmm, not "WITH" totally. Many strict rules enforced there, and girls had rooms in the Hotel Thayer. Just straightening that out. :-) The 50's, ya' know!
Other times, a bunch of girls from my college, got driven down.
Remember, this was back in the 50's and every kid did not have their own car, way back then. :-)
Nice pictures! I wish I had been on a train when I went there to visit family. You are right about seeing cars, cars, cars when you are in a car. The traffic is terrible there. What I saw of Dallas though was pretty. Hugs

Nice to let someone else do the driving for you.
YOu are so right. I need to plan a train trip. Sounds like fun. Thanks for the idea. Love the photos especially the scene of the city.
