well I think it has officially started...
let me see if you can guess....
what "IT" is....
night sweats....
foggy head....
aches and pains...
they started out here and there....
a little fuzzy head now and then....
a little dizzy..
(like ring a round the rosey)
then the night sweats here and there...
thought it was just the heat....
all the while ignoring "IT"...
now the night sweats are like gushers...
not sure on the hot flashes...
because...well it is Texas...
it has been over 100 for a few weeks now...
it could be the weather...
or it could be "IT"....
I'm finally going to admit...
I think I'm starting "IT"
so I called my Mom....
she gave me the scoop....
I'm going to the drugstore....
the health food store...
she has tried them all...
so with the benefit of her experiences...
hopefully I can get "IT" under control...
or atleast somewhat balanced again....
if not I might have to sleep in the refrigerator...

evening primrose helps me, but my IT is rare now...IT came when i was 48 and stayed for 7 years. hope you have a shorter visit. OR you can always get in that water with HR
-chuckle- And here we go!!!! With me *ruining* our lovely Net Pal-ship. Why? How?
Cause, I stopped my periods when I was about 40. And had only ONE hot flash. Nothin'... Nothin'... Nothin'...
Course, I still had not had Prozac introduced into my life then... (Not till I was past 50) And I had zillions of issues to deal with, all the time, anyway. Racing mind, etc., etc. So perhaps, I was usually kinda' mucked up, and I just didn't notice any "IT" specific stuff. -grin-
But... None of the stuff, which people usually say, is attached to "IT"!
And I stopped my periods. Not come and go, and on and off, and etc. Stopped.
-chuckle- Do you still love me????
Gentle hugs,
"Auntie"
I'm sorry, I had to laugh while reading your post. I had to have a fan on me almost all the time. I froze the rest of my office cause I was always having hot flashes. IT is miserable.
my older sis swears by i-cool. said it cleared up her sleeplessness and put her back into a 'normal' functioning mood. just passing that info along.
I remember my first night sweat, even though it was several years ago. I woke up soaking wet and thought I had peed myself (LOL). Hang in there. They eventually go away.

Oh, dear, it does sound like the IT many of my coworkers describe. So far I have been lucky and have not experienced anything that was too miserable.
I hope you find something to help you and that it does not last too many years.
Loved your post. Welcome to the club. Google "cool jams". They'll save your life.
Yep, I know what :it: is and I am sorry you are dealing with it. I am sorry I know it is a miserable state to be in sweet Deb gut I cracked up when you said you may have to sleep in the fridge...I had never thought of that solution. Hope you found something that will help you. Hugs
I guess since I never stopped taking estrogen, I never had the awful night sweats. I was always hot though, that is until I lost weight. Now I'm cold at last. I said I wouldn't complain when I was cold instead of hot, so my lips are sealed!
