We went to the lake today...
I found this hat floating in the water...
I imagine someone lost it out on the water..
so of course I had to have a little photo shoot...
we haven't been to the lake in a few weeks...
it was a nice day...in the low 90's...
a nice breeze...
everything felt fresh after the rains...
just what I needed to recharge my batteries...
we took Nolan and Rooster...
it was Nolan's first trip to the lake...
I think he enjoyed himself...
of course Rooster played ball the whole time...
we are going out for a family dinner tonight...
will be a nice ending to a nice weekend...

Nice looking hat! Too bad someone lost it. A visit to the lake is a great way to spend an August afternoon. Hope the family dinner is fun.

Well, I hope there wasn't a body further up/downstream to go with the hat! Hahaha... I saw where Dallas got LOTS of rain. We didn't get any! :(

Deb, that second shot - the driftwood looks kind of like a dinosaur skull, so I have this image in my head of a T rex wearing a cowboy hat...
Maybe the hat owner will see your blog post and reclaim the hat... but I hope not. I think you would look good in it. :)
