Do we????

 more me embracing Fall...
it is hard to believe it is November..
and our leaves are just starting to fall...

we are starting a new tradition....
LEAVES....
 throwing....playing...running...
raking...piling...LEAVES...

 Hotrod is embracing it also...
he is very good at throwing leaves...

running through the leaves...

repeat...over and over again...
I want him to experience all the things I did as a child...
all the things my kiddos experienced...
out door fun...imagination fun...
we have a saying at our house...
Too much TV turns your brains to Mashed potatoes...
we sure don't want that...
Do We????

where did this week go???
it's like I blinked and it's the weekend again...

do you ever start your blog post???
then wonder what the heck am I going to write about??
I'm passing on the weather...
passing on political....
nothing exciting going on....
I want to be clever...witty...exciting...

I'm trying not to drive you crazy with all my Hotrod stories...
but it seems like all our discussions at my house...
turn to him...
what he says...what he does....

he just brings so much joy to all of us...
If we aren't talking business...
we are talking Hotrod...
or dogs...
hope I'm not driving you crazy with it all...

the ladybug from Texas is finally embracing Fall...
you know I like to hang on to Summer..
as long as possible...
I do realize Fall is almost done...

but living in Texas...
you can really celebrate the seasons whenever you want...
cause it may be Summer one Day...
the next day could be Spring...
or Winter or Fall..
or even all in the same day....
another reason I LOVE TEXAS...

I had my down day after the election...
now I'm ready to get back up...
with Hotrod around...
you can't stay down long...
he has a way of lifting your spirits...
by just flashing a smile....
or giving that extra special hug...

or telling his Pawpaw...
Once upon a time....Pawpaw...
naming his car Silver Bells...
because his Aunt Didi named her new car that...
or telling Hatari...
it's okay Batari...she will be back...
when she acts a little sad when my daughter drops her off...
and gives her a little kiss on the top of the head...
or says Oma lets lay on the ground....
so we get a blanket and lay on the ground...
Now that is what it is all about...

I went to bed with a heavy heart last night...
the results are in....
I applaud the people that voted...
exercised their rights...
though I do not agree with the results...

I'm one to try to look at the good of everything...
I want to see the positive side...
I'm afraid this time...I'm having a hard time finding it...
this decision effects my family...
my business...
my country....

life will go on...
but I have a different view of our country now...

I will pray for our country....
I will pray for our government...

we need to stand strong for America...
we need to voice our concerns...
hold our officials accountable for bad decisions...
but most of all we need to look out for our families...

Thank you Mitt Romney for trying to save our country...
Thank you for a very nice speech..
you are a true gentlemen...
I hope I can get over this sick feeling in the pit of my stomach..
the heaviness in my heart...
God Bless America....
I'm drained...

 A little daddy Hotrod time....

 a little Pawpaw Hotrod time...
big world issues being discussed...
balloons...cars....cake...

Hatari wanted to be in on the photo shoot...

my niece not too excited about it...
she doesn't enjoy the camera like Hotrod...

Hubby and I cutting a rug...
while our son played the guitar and sang...
that is until Hotrod noticed...
he didn't like the idea of us dancing together...

 a little Father Daughter time...

A little Mother Son time...
a little girl bonding....
I am thankful I get to document my family...
through my photographs...
through my blogs...

Smile Mommy.....

Say Cheese.....

Smile Oma...

I think I have a budding photographer...
maybe a future blogger....
We had my Mom's birthday party yesterday...
the weather was perfect...
in the 70's...slight breeze...beautiful sunshine..
I couldn't have ordered a better day...
Hubby made a yummy roast...
potatoes...carrots...pinto beans...
the hit of the day his hot water cornbread...
My SIL brought a cookie cake...
My son brought his guitar...
played and sang for us....
my niece and Hotrod had a ball...
I got some cute photos...
oh and we had balloons...the first thing on Hotrods list...
my nieces 2nd birthday is coming up....
I asked her what she wanted Aunt Deb to get her for her birthday...
she said balloons...
I asked her what else...
cake...
I think her and Hotrod think alike...
I asked her what present she would like....
she looked around at Hotrods toys....
she said a Car...
then she started naming off everything she saw....
I think she would be happy to just take all of Hotrods toys...
he was watching her closely when she left...
after playing with Hotrods sand....
they have decided she's getting a sand box...
Our birthday girl....
I am thankful for my family....

Happy Birthday, Judy!! When I 'met' your lovely daughter through the world of BLOG - I KNEW I would just LOVE you!!! We hit it off right from the start and I have so enjoyed our friendship! I think you and I have so much in common! The Tuesday Movie Dates and a few Tuesday Art Classes hold fond memories for me! Hopefully our friendship can pick right up where we left off when I came south to help care for the quads. YOU were the very first person I told about my daughter expecting quadruplets! Happy HAPPY Birthday to a truly beautiful lady.....beautiful INSIDE as well as OUT!! It has been such a pleasure knowing you. Prayers for your best year yet!!!

Dear Mom,
We are wishing you a Very Happy Birthday!!! We love you very much. As a mom, mother-in-law, friend, Nanny to Hayley, and so many other things, we can only say, "Wow!" We love being a part of your life and are so very glad you are a part of ours. It is really mostly all about who you are and not in what you do, but the things you do and how you do them continue to amaze us. You do so much for us, that words fall short of an accurate description.
Hayley loves her Nanny. She has so much fun with you, and is learning more than she ever would without having you in her life.
I (James) have so many fond memories of how time after time after time you have shown love to me by going the extra mile. During my childhood, adolescent, teen years, and as a young adult, you took much time in teaching, leading and encouraging me. I have so many special memories from recent times, but let me describe some of my fondest memories from times past. You were an excellent mother, and I still wonder how you did what you did. Many times you were working with limited time and money, which was beyond your control. So many times, you would always find a way to provide quality times and things for me and Deb. Wether it was taking us to the zoo, park or other outing, you were remodeling our bedrooms to be sure we had safe, fun and exciting surroundings. I remember you reading the Bible and other books to me, teaching me about music, teaching me how to color, and on and on it goes!!! You also taught us at a young age to treat all people with equal respect, regardless of gender, ethnicity, economic status, or other attributes.
You are a very positive and jovial person who touches everyone she meets. You will only know in Heaven of the impact you have had on so many.
I will stop here, but could fill volumes with all that I could say about you.
We Love You Very Much!
James, Jeanna, and Hayley

I want to wish you a very Happy Birthday!!!! May god continue to bless you many more years to come surrounded by your loved ones

Happy, happy birthday, sweet Judy! I met you so many years ago when Kat and Jodi were dancing in Nutcracker and our lives have touched off and on ever since. Best wishes for this birthday and many, many more!

Cowboys, Indians, turquoise, chocolate pudding with bananas, playing Nintendo, making pallets on the floor, playing dress up, dancing to music, and gum.  All of these seemingly unconnected things never fail to remind me of one very special lady in my life, my Nanny.  She is a woman who wears many hats in my life; grandmother, friend, play mate, and confidant.  She is adventurous, intelligent, independent, and loving.  She has always encouraged me to be me and pursue anything that makes me happy.  I am very lucky to have a person as special as her in my life.  I love you very much. Happy 66th Birthday Nanny, and many more to come!!!!
    Your Princess

We love you Nanny! Happy Birthday!

Thank you for being a hands on Nanny....
Thank you for being a hands on Nanny 2...
you have taught us the love of...
    Music...
    Dance...
    Books...
    Art....
you let us be ourselves...even applaud our differences...
You may call yourself the crazy lady...
but your crazy like a fox...
You taught us to think for ourselves...
    to love....to laugh....
to know you would be there for us no matter what...
    Happy 66th Birthday Mom...
I love you more than you will every know...

    Happy Birthday Judy!!!!
from your favorite Son in law...
    aka Deb's Hubby...

Out of the mouths of babes...

I finally got to go vote today...
    last day for early voting...
Hotrod and Hubby went with me...
    Hubby voted earlier this week...
Hotrod had it in his head B O A T...
    we kept telling him VOTE...
he wasn't real happy that there was no BOAT there...
but he did have a good time entertaining the workers...
he even got a Sherrifs badge....actually a sticker..
He told them all about Trick or Treating...
    Aunt Didi's smashed car....
the more people lauged the more he entertained...

they have a water fountain outside...
I told Hotrod he could toss a penny in it...
I explained to him about making a wish...
and that once we throw the penny in...it stays there...
    no getting it back...
I asked him if he was ready...
    he said yes...
I told him to make a wish...then toss it in...
he did...and didn't want it back...
as we were leaving PawPaw asked him what he wished for...
    he said another penny....
last night my son and DIL took Hotrod out to dinner...
    when the waitress walked up..
    he said Hi pretty lady...
    I'm flirting with you...
the waitress looked at my son...
he said told her he didn't get that from me...
my son was very quiet when he was little...still is...
    he never talked to strangers...
We think he got it from his PawPaw...and Great Grandpa...
    big talkers...

This is my last morning glory...
    the yard guys came yesterday...
I had them go ahead and cut them all off the fence...
if you wait till they die...oh what a mess they are....

This is Hotrods new favorite Song...
He wants to hear REBA again and again...
he sings the song when he's playing now...
    O O O O O on the RADIO.....
I went to work out last night with my friend from high school...
it is always more fun with a friend...
    Today is her 51st Birthday....
    Happy Birthday KIM....
we were known as the munchkins in high school...
we are both the same height...
Today I am thankful to have old friends that I still keep in touch with...

    Happy November 1st

     Happy November 1st....
    we are having beautiful weather...
    cool nights and mornings...
    warm days....
    it was almost 90 yesterday...

still sending prayers to all effected by SANDY....
    we had a quiet Halloween...
we did not hand out candy this year...
    we kept the light off...
Hotrod got to go trick or treating...
he had a lot of fun...
I'm sorry to say I don't have photos to share...
he dressed as Woody from Toy Story...
they go with friends that have 3 kiddos...
they live in a neighborhood full of kiddos...
I was expecting him to come all cranky this morning...
but he has been a sweetie pie all day....

Now I'm ready to focus on Thanksgiving...
it is one of my favorite holidays...
I'm just sad it tends to get overlooked...
    It should be more appreciated...
after all it is a day to give Thanks...
it doesn't matter what your religious beliefs are...
    what nationality you are...
    what your political preference is...
    if you are black...white..purple...or green...
just a day to give Thanks for you blessings...

there are so many things to be thankful for...
    I'm not speaking material things...
so I've decided I will post one thing every day that
    I am thankful for...
    until Thanksgiving...
I am thankful to be able to post on a blog...
the freedom to write...post photos...be myself...
