Sunday morning Hubby and I got up....
went and bought 28 lbs. of pork....
cubed it all up...seasoned it.....
then went to making.....
sausage.....we have a meat grinder...
we ground all the meat up....
then put it in casings....

it was pretty much an all day event....
we got a few rest breaks here and there...
letting the meat get good and cold...
but let me tell you...we were tired at the end of the day...
we have a few lbs. to case tonight...
Hubby got us a food sealer...
so we will seal it all up...
and to the freezer it will go...
no added preservatives...we know exactly what is in it...
Hotrod got roller blades this weekend...
beginners...oh boy is he proud of them...

we have just the right skating carpet in the office....
he had them on almost all day....
one of my movies I got this weekend was...
Shrek2...we watched it today....
Hotrod hasn't seen Shrek before...
we were watching it and he said...
"Look Shrek isn't a okra anymore he turned into a real boy"
he thought they were calling Shrek okra not Ogre...
well he is green and Okra is green...
this boy sure can make me laugh...
off to finish casing sausage...

WOW!!! I am so impressed with all your sausage!
I noticed the denim door draft stopper in the photo.....I am going to make some this week. The front door opens and closes easily - but there's a bit of daylight peeking through!

You will enjoy that sausage so much! Glad to see Hot Rod has something to occupy his time indoors this winter.
