My all time favorite Tree...EVER......

The Mimosa Tree...
my all time favorite tree...
I love when it blooms...
when I was a kid I would pick the blooms and put them in my hair...
or pretend they were powder puff...
and rub them across my face...
I always loved the way the leaves felt too...
would pretend they were my fan...
and the pods...
would of course be used for pretend cooking....
I love the fragrance the flowers put off...
I get so excited every time I see one bloom....

What is your favorite Tree????

Deb, that The Mimosa tree is a gorgeous tree!! One of my favorites is a Mountain Laurel and of course, Crape Myrtle (suppose it's called a tree or shrub!)

Hope you are having a great evening!

Always loved Mimosa's too! Hours and hours of playing with the pods, leaves and flowers, when we were little! My other favorite is a big ol' Magnolia, they're so elegant and the blooms smell so divine!

Mmmmmmmmmmmm... That's the name of that lovely and soft looking tree!!! Yummmmmmmmmmmmmy!

Although I haven't seen many around this neck of the woods. Perhaps it's better suited to warmer climates...

-giggles- You've got your squirell [Sorry about spelling] in your Header.

Would you BELIEVE that I had already thought of using a pic of my "chippie", as my new Header pic?

Would you believe?

We used to have a big one in our front yard when I was a kid. I spent a lot of time up in that tree, it was a great hiding spot. I think my favorite right now is Japanese Maple.

Oooh! So pretty!

My favorite tree would be a great big willow. When I was little I used to climb among those huge drooping branches and curl up with a book and some snacks. And noone could see me. I felt like it was my precious little hide away. :)

The Mimosa is high on my list, the other two are sycamores because of the white bark and seed pompoms and ginkgo because of the fan shaped leaves.

We had a big mimosa in our yard when I was a child and I spent many an hour playing underneath it. Those blossoms smell so sweet.
I planted two that I grew from seed that are now in my back yard. Last year they bloomed for the first time and I was thrilled!

Mimosa is a tree! Here, they are houseplants!
My favourite at the moment is lilac! Even if the flowers are fading!
