Do you watch Survivor? I remember when Colby was on (I think it was season 2) They can bring one personal item and he brought his Texas flag! He was so proud of it. I thought that was so neat! I am proud of Arkansas and all that it has to offer. Farming, fishing, hunting, lakes, rivers, such a variety of activities and terrains.
I don't think anyone has as much pride in their State as Texans! I am from Washington State and I have never met anyone that displays their pride for it like Texas does. Possibly for a College, but not the State itself. Funny right?!
I am from the Pine Tree State of Maine. I am so fortunate to live on its southern coast. We have beautiful trails, coastline, cities and small towns, mountains and lakes. I too remember Colby bringing his flag to Survivor! I have a sticker like the one above, some of our dearest friends are from Texas!
Where did you find your Alamo? Is it a necklace? I love, love, love it! I have 2 blue jean aprons, but neither have "Texas" in sequins, that's a cute idea.
I can't think of any other state that has the same pride and loyalty as Texans do. It's like it's own country! I was born in Corpus Christi, but didn't grow up in Texas. Military family...so we moved a lot. My heart lives in New Mexico now.

I saw a bumper sticker today. The car had California plates and the bumper sticker said "displaced Texan" Just made me smile! Kathy
