Thursday re-cap of my wordless wednesday....

Today I was visiting a blog and she was explaining her wordless Wednesday post...
what a great idea...you can come back on Thursday and say all you want
about you Wordless post....so here goes...

Yes it is a 5 generation photo.... And we are all girls.....

My great grandmother lived to be 99 she was one week from her 100th
birthday when she passed away....she came to Texas in a covered wagon

My Nana was 92 when she passed away...she was widowed when her youngest was just
a baby and raised her kids on her own.... 7 out of 8 were still at home...she moved them from
the farm in East Texas to the DFW area....her 1st grandchild is older than her youngest son..
She was my ladybug....that is where I got my name....Deb's Ladybug Texas....

So now you know what I couldn't say yesterday....

Road Trip

Yipee......My husband and I are taking a road trip this weekend....

we haven't been out of town in a long time...

so bright and early saturday morning....we will be on the road...

of course I will be taking tons of photos to share with you all...

destination is where ever we end up...........

giving the kids a break from Mom on Sunday....

Tuesday in the yard

our skys have been changing from moment to moment

we are having our April showers in May.....
This is another type of jew it gets little blue flowers...
spreads like crazy...

my mums are prettier now than in the fall

I guess this is my year for dill... cause it is all growing

like crazy...and it all came up from seeds dropped by

my sickly looking plants from last year....

Do you ever get the feeling you are being watched...

I looked up and this little guy was watching me...

I think this dill is on steroids...

My bucket of jew is growing and blooming


this a different few from my stump garden...
the dogs like to eat the leaves that come out...

I know they are weeds but I have always loved them...

my glads are getting tall this year...

can't wait for them to bloom....

My niece went to her Jr. Prom on Saturday...

aren't their flowers pretty.....

I had a nice weekend...even though we had all the rain

and thunderstorms...nice time out with my husband on Friday...

got to go to the movies on Sunday with my best friend from

high school, her daughter, her son's girlfriend, my daughter and

my daughter in law...we went to see the new Matthew McConaughey Movie

It was so good.....you laugh....you cry.....you laugh....

we really enjoyed it.....and I was very good...I sliced up and apple

and took it with me...and a bottle water....my daughter said she thinks

I am the first person ever to sneak an apple into a theater....hamburgers...

candy...maybe but health food...not...

well I have lost 20 lbs. ....with more to go and I am changing

my eating habits...I'm finding I can do well if I just plan

everything out....I'm learning portion control....

do you have tricks you use to stay eating

healthy in this food obsessed world??????

My husband and I tried a new restaurant last night...The Flying Fish

The food was great...I had the grilled shrimp salad and he had the fried catfish

and fried shrimp....the salad came out in a stainless steel bowl and had 6 very large

grilled shrimp on top of lettuce, tomatoes...cucumbers...pieces of corn and bell pepper..

it was very filling and a great price if you look at the menu above..my husband loved

his shrimp and catfish and he is a hard critic...the decorations were great... fishing poles..

lures...pictures of people with their giant catches... and walls filled with the fake singing

fish...you can trade yours in for a basket of catfish....they had outdoor dining also

They have several locations around...click on the link above ...they may have one close

to you...we ate at the Addison location....definitely will go back again....
