Beautiful blue birds! We seldom see any in our area. A lot of mockingbirds though.

Those blue jays can sure make some noise...mine do.
One time I heard them going crazy in the back yard and I looked out the window and a snake was crawling across the yard...The blue jays have become my close friends!!! I love snake warnings!!

Never saw a mockingbird! Thanks!

I prefer the song of a mockingbird to the raucous call of bluejays. But the bluejays are colorful and lively, too.

Up here, we see more Mocking Birds than we see Blue Jays.

Once upon a summer, we had one Mocking Bird which would come and kinda' dive-bomb into our pool. He'd sit on fence on one side of pool, get ready, fly down and just skim the water, and fly back up to the fence on the other side.

It was a Hooooot, to watch. I called him the "Bathing Bird"!

That bluejay seemed to be enjoying his photo session. Very nice shots. Hugs

A homestead would not be complete without jays. They are rambunctious, sportin' around like they owned the premises.
