some of my flowers are going to seed..

I'm collecting the seeds to re-plant....
and to pass on...

our garden is providing a few veggies for us...

maybe some squash soon...

the hot weather and lack of rain is draining ....
to us and the plants....
but I'm not going to complain....
it could be much worse....
nope not rain clouds...
but they did hold the sun off for a little while...

do you have big plans for Father's Day?
we're taking the Dad's to breakfast on Sunday...

this heat is starting to drain our trees around here. i spent an hour tonight after the sun set giving the smaller ones drinks in hopes to keep them limping along. sure hope they're right about the weather possibility for rain next Tues/Wed...

With this heat I don't have many flowers left. I think I'm wilting too. No plans for Father's day here. Y'all have a nice time with Dad.

Hi....I found your blog through anothers and am so happy I did!

I love to take pictures, too, and take my camera everyplace, even the grocery store! lol!

I used to be a Texas gal and now I am a Michigan gal...We like Texas or Arizona best even though it is beautiful here!!! We just like the mountains and wide open spaces.
We have a son and his family in Texas....he flies Huey's guarding the Texas/Mexico border and they went through the fires of a couple of months ago. Their beautiful new home was spared, but many were not and the sad thing was, there was no help to fight those fires!
So nice to have met you and hope you get some good rain soon!

Those poor Corn Flowers do look bedraggled. -le sigh-

You need rain. Up here, we are sick of getting it, almost every day. -shakes head-

We are working on getting a Father's Day plan together but it may be a week late because of other activities.
I hope you get some rain soon.

I know how you feel about the heat it is so hot here. In California it was so cold and then I came home to this heat...makes me want to leave again.
Have a great breakfast with the Dads. I hope to make the trip to visit my Dad soon.

Well, even healthy flowers go to seed...huh? It is so hot some are going prematurely I suppose.
Is that an Eggplant growing in your veggie patch?
...and about the clouds (?) Looks kind of like smoke! Hope you're not near Ennis-- I just saw the news and they are battling a pretty big blaze out that way and a couple of homes had been lost at last report.
Ennis is about 30 mi. from us...depending on the wind, I don't know if we'll be getting any of the heavy smoke.

Everything is so dry-- (thanks for stopping by and commenting on my Avocados! (I can't wait to grow fruit on my little trees-- I'm just so dern happy to grow the tree from a pit!) can't you tell? take care, Pat

Your veggies are looking good.
No big plans here. We'll talk to the kids by phone or skype, BBQ something, and just enjoy the quiet.
