 the sun was shining...
and so were these ladies...
we all met for lunch at a local Soda Shop...

we had a nice group...
my daughter also joined us for lunch...
but had to get back to work before photo time...
my niece had her first hamburger and milk shake...
let me tell you she loved the Soda Shop....

I am so happy that my blog pal Linda from Linda's life journal...
was able to join us....all the girls just love her to death...
she has been quite ill...but managed to join us...
she is a trouper for sure...

 when I saw this monkey...
I knew it had my niece's name all over it...

after lunch...we did a little shopping...
at the local Mom and Pop shops in our down town area...
the owners of the shops are so nice....
were very happy to see our group come in...

 Linda found a new hat...
isn't she the cutest thing ever...

My Mom tried on a few hats too...
I think we all tried on a few...
just love hats...
 we had lots of laughs...
these are some fun ladies...

one of the shops the ladies handed out...
chocolate covered cherries...
just the little pick me up we needed...

After the fun day with my girls...
Hubby and I went to an Auto show...
this is the car of a friend of ours...
he races it...you may remember photos from last year...
then we went to dinner...
Texas Land and Cattle...they were so crowded...
but we decided to sit in the bar area...
which got us served faster...
Our steaks were excellent...
best we have had in a while...
We were both exhausted when we got home...
Hotrod spent the night Friday night...
we had movie night...
Shrek 2...popcorn...M&M's for them...
Hotrod was up bright and early...
we sure enjoyed the sleepover...

I was about to ask if that was Linda I recognized in that photo. She is the sweetest person and fun.
I'm getting together with her daughter and son in law tonight and all the baby Bells. Should be fun.
Wish Linda was with them.

Looks like y'all had some fun
