Waiting for the parade to start...

Anticipation...
finding the best spot to sit...
setting up your chairs...
getting out the drinks..
get the bag ready for candy...
talk to your new neighbors...
talk about how many you've been too...
talk about the heat...
wish you had remembered to bring_____...
wonder if so and so is in it this year..
how long do you think it will last...
they must be running behind....
here it comes...I see the flashing lights..

A parade is a wonderful thing. I especially love the small town variety, where folks know each other and recognize the people in the parade.

I saw in the news the other day where a left-leaning think tank did a so-called "study" and found that mostly republicans attend parades. Ha. Looks like you got lots of repubs in your town!

I love small town parades. Ours is on Labor Day and your pictures look just like the folks here getting ready.

Looks like fun! My town doesn't have parades in the summer. Just too hot!

You must live in a small town; our small town had a 4th of July parade that looks so similar to yours....
Fun times!!!
