On Saturday our Fun Girls group went to a wine festival...
there were 6 of us this trip....
our group changes every month...
depending on who can go...
This is my Mom...and life time friend Ms. D.....
they have known each other since my Mom was 12...
when the Texas swing music started...
these gals went to dancin'...
can you see the joy.....
there is nothing like having Girl time...
every time I look at these photos...
I just smile...
it has been busy around here....
Hubbies half brother and sister came to visit...
they are only half in name...
they are full in the heart....
Their biological Dad passed away...
they came for the services...
a sad time....but a Happy time for us...
there has not been a lot of sleep at my house...
lot's of laughing...
talking...
stories...new and old....
a great visit...
we sure weren't ready for them to leave...
Stringbean hadn't seen him since he was 2...
so he really enjoyed his time with them...
I don't think Hubby stopped smiling the whole time...
He is very close to his brother...
even though they live thousands of miles apart...
last year I sent Hubby to spend a week with them in Washington...
he was dead tired when he got home...
I think he slept 12 hours the whole time he was gone...
they may not be blood...
but they are brothers through and through....

Such a nice thing, to have people who are so close to you. And love the pic of your mom and her friend! Looks like they had a great time together.
It is so cool that they enjoy each other so much. Sounds like you have been smiling a lot yourself lately.
Sounds like the festival was fun and funerals have a way of bringing family together and laughter is great medicine. ((HUGS))
