Can you imagine wearing this costume...
in 95 degree weather...
and walking several miles in a July parade....
there's something fun about a clown..
the bright colors...
the funny clothes...
but I found out along time ago...
at my son's 2nd birthday party...
don't bring them to a party for kids under 5...
everyone cried....
not what I expected...
what is your view on clowns...
love em...
or scared of em????

Love them but it seems most people dislike them. My girls think they're scary.
I also love clowns, especially in a parade, but it is easy to see why little kids are afraid of them.
My oldest daughter is 22 years older than my youngest. She had a genuine clown costume I made her for a church ministry....the whole big deal. She looked awesome and loved
playing the clown.' For Amber's second birthday party she came in costume. Amber was terrified! To this very day (Amber is now 26!) she can.not.stand.clowns. She thinks they are scary!

Our daughter was scared of them when she was a little girl...she still does not like them.
I don't remember ever having any issues with clowns. I think they can be fun, especially at a circus!
The only place my kids were around clowns were at a circus and they loved them. The clowns did lots of funny things.
I can see how a small children might be frightened of them if they were up close to them.
Myself I can take them or leave them. Hugs
I was a school secretary and one halloween I dressed up like a clown. We had a UPS man who NEVER smiled. He would set the package down, I would sign and he would leave...That day he walked in with his serious face took one look at me and stared laughing!! After that he always smiled and talked.... Only thing I could think of regarding clowns!

My "Grands," when little, didn't like anyone in a costume. Santa Claus, the Disney Characters at Disney World, etc.
I guess I can take 'em or leave 'em. Never had any up-close-and-personal experience with a clown, so guess I can't really say...

When my son was 2 I took him to the circus and he, too, was afraid of the clown. They are pretty weird looking!
Cute clowns.... but my oh my, I bet they were hot!
Your post brought a chuckle for me. When I was pregnant with our son, I painted a 16 x 20 clown's face to put in his room. That poor clown ended up in a garage sale because I had to cover it each night with a towel. The children said he was staring at them.
I've never been scared of a clown, but I guess I could see why a 5 year old might be. They're a little weird looking!
Great photos. But I have always found clowns a little bit creepy. My oldest wont even sit with Santa much less go near a clown. My middle one thinks they are hilarious. _B
