I have to say that I find squirrels as completely destructive little critters. I have had them in my attic, in my furnance, in between the walls around my fireplace.. you name it. They will chew thru anything. Not cute in my book.
I used to think they were cute too until we lived beneath 40 oak trees when we were at the lake. They are pesky destructive little things. They used to try to come in our house through the front door and they used to mess with me while I was working in the yard. It was like a game to them to see how close they could get to me. I had to arm myself with the waterhose just to pull weeds out of the flower beds. Thanks for the memory, it makes me laugh now.
I agree with the other gals that have commented above, they are cute unless they're chewing holes in your roof or attic and then it's time to get the gun, lol!

Just came across your blog from the Texas group. I'm trying to get a chance to go by and meet everyone. I'm in Burleson County out of Bryan/College Station. We live on a pecan orchard and I don't have any use for squirrels..they are pesty and ruin our crops. Plus, one knocked out our power a couple weeks ago. They are pesky little boogers. Berte
Like most animals, they are cute from afar! I used to think ducklings were precious until I had to clean up after 70+ of them last spring/summer. Now, not so much.
I hate squirrels! They are cute to look at in pictures. When they live in your tree in the front yard...watch for you to come out the front door and then chase you back into your house, then attach themselves to your screen door - NO thanks! So glad squirrels don't like living in our 118 degree heat.

They are so cute, but I hear they can be really pesky little critters. A cute version of a rat!
