Do you ever drive threw a town and wonder about the history?
wonder how can their be so many churches
in a small town??? or why aren't there many churches
in this town?
see an old building and wonder who worked there?

what was sold or made there????
how many people have traveled from that very spot?
where were they going? where were they coming back from?
I can see Goober or Gomer Pyle filling up the gas tank...
washing the windshield....drinking a bottle of pop....
how many people have traveled them???
what products have been carried down those tracks...
I love the history of buildings...roads...towns...etc....
what surprising facts have you found out about a town
after you visited????

I wonder the same kind of things after visiting a town. Utah has many mining ghost towns that raise a lot of questions.
I always like to see the old schools and wonder where the graduates are and how many stayed in the town to live.

Hi Deb,
I love small towns, and when I pass through, I have similar thoughts. loved the pictures, and what stories they could tell.

So much mystery in a town especially a ghost town...Christine
When you stop to imagine the history that goes on in these towns it can really get your head spinning. Imagine if we lived in Europe where they REALLY have history that goes way back!
Ardmore is a cool town :) love the new header Deb
Yes, if those walls could talk! I love old buildings and always wonder about the secret they hold.
We don't get out much, but I sure enjoyed seeing your photos and reading your thoughts and wonderings about the places.
Happy New Year!
I do wonder things like that Deb especially when I see old buildings. I also wonder that with giant old trees. I wonder what all has gone on in their lifetime.
What great pictures Deb... I love towns and wonder all the time how did they get to exist where they are?

I think about these things also, especially when I see abandoned houses or farms, which we see alot here.
What a great resource!
