Hodge podge.....rambling.....

Twenty eight years ago I was one miserable gal...
My sons birthday is Tuesday...
I was in labor for a few days...
ending up having a C-section...
he weighed 9 lbs 1 1/4 oz...21 inches long...
I'm 4 ft. 11...I was big as a house....
but what a blessing he has been....

he was a early Christmas gift...
12 days before Christmas...
when he was little we never decorated for Christmas
until after his birthday....when he was 7 or 8 he
decided he didn't want us not to wait till after his birthday....
he didn't mind sharing his b-day with Christmas...

saturday I went thrifting...
found some good deals....
really excited about the cool red ice bucket I found...
1.91....awesome picture frames...
a clear class pitcher for $2.00...
a red and white gigham quilt..
going to use is for a table cloth...
christmas cloth napkins....
found 2 more games to add to our collection..
now we have to figure out how to play them all...

Today has been a productive day....
finishing up some projects....
hubby and I went to Best Buy today...
got our Christmas present...
a Plasma TV for our den...
we are finally catching up with technology...
can't wait to get it all set up...
I'm so enjoying getting Christmas cards in the mail...
Thank you Dawn and Maggie...
Should have all our business cards finished
and in the mail by midweek....
Hope you all have had a nice weekend...

You did real well thrifting. I love to go to thrift stores but I haven't been in awhile. I may just do that after the holidays. Great pictures as usual. I love the bird and squirrel pictures.

Happy Birthday to your son! I know you must be so proud of him.

Glad you got your card.

Hugs!

I've been staying away from the thrift stores on purpose lately -- but your post is hacking away at my willpower! :) Have fun with your new toy!

Happy Birthday to your son!

I love your hodge podge of photos. That little squirrel is so cute. It sounds like you really scored at the thrift store.

You sure gave yourselves a wonderful Christmas present!

I think it's sweet that you were trying not to take away from your son's b-day by decorating for Christmas, but it's also cute that he didn't mind if you did!
