I've always wished I lived on a farm...
I think I would make a good farm girl...
as long as I have my straightener for my hair...
I could survive any where...
I like simple...
I like basic...
I like blue jeans...
I like boots..
I don't mind hard work...
dirt under my nails...
I really admire the hard working farm people...
I want a clothes line...hubby is going to put one up for me...
I love clothes fresh of the line...
with the smell of sunshine in them...
I want fresh eggs...
I want chicken without all the hormones...
no telling what else they pump into them...
Hubby said we can get chickens...
now that our famous chicken thieve is in heaven...
for eggs...for food...
for entertainment...
I read on a blog she was watching the chicken channel...
right out her kitchen window...
a lot better than what is on most channels..
more educational...
less controversial..
my raised garden beds are ready to plant...
I've already planted my cantelope seeds...
came from a cantelope we ate a few weeks ago..
my loofah gourd seeds are planted...
I like the idea that we could be self sufficient...
live off the land...
I love homemade gifts...
my Mom has made us laundry detergent...
dish washing detergent...
cleaners to clean with...
I've made my own hand sanitizer...
all with more natural ingredients...
less expensive that work as well or better...
Maybe I was born in the wrong generation...
but being frugal sounds like a great plan to me...
how about you???

i have an idea, i have always wanted a ranch, not a farm, daddy had one of those and i did not like planting or harvesting or canning. SOOO the plan is, we get you a farm next door to my ranch and you grow the food and i will take care of the animals, LOTS of animals, donkeys, mules, horses, dogs and dogs, cats, baby goats etc
Oh sigh, you gals and your hair straighteners! Why ever don't you embrace your beautiful Curly Girl self? :-))))
You certainly sound as if you would enjoy visiting in Mary Jane Butter's blog.... You can visit "Raising Jane Journal" by clicking here.....
Enjoy!
Oh and since I'm a wimp, this blog is about as close to a Farm Girl as I get. But that's ok too.
"Auntie"
You know, for some reason I kinda always thought you did. Must have come through in your view of the world and nature. Being a farm girl is not where you live, it's how you live : )
Living on a farm was one of my life-long wishes too, but I know it will never happen.
we had calf poop in the cab of the truck yesterday as the trailer was in use elsewhere. Realy measured my cowgirl "stuff".
I admire your desire to live off the land, be healthier & use more green products. I think more and more people are feeling this way & I think it will make the world a better place! :)
All that sounds good to me ... but the clothes line! lol
I would like some chickens but I have so many stray cats in my area I am afraid they would kill them.
