so is the chair for you to sit in and watch the clothes dry??? LOL our bird dog once jumped all over the flapping clothes on the line, chasing them as they flapped and left muddy paw prints. mother was soooo happy
People in SoCal don't hang clothes on a line outside anymore, but I remember in the 1950's and 1960's when my mom hung our clothes out on the line in the backyard. I remember how good they smelled when she brought them in and how warm they were to the touch from being in the sun.

I think that it is awesome that he will have memories of grandma's clothes line. My children don't have that memory.
I got my first load of laundry hung out today!! You should have seen the eye-rolling from husband, who prefers the dryer...
