Hubby the artist was at it again...

this time a lady....

Hotrod thought the man needed a friend...

 

 

I've started working getting my Christmas cards written...have my family photo ready to put inside.. I am very happy the way they turned out..

I used my tripod...and the timer on my camera..

after I mail out all my cards I will share it with you....with the babies faces not showing of course.. I have had a few of my blog pals

take me up on my offer to exchange cards...

if you are interested just let me know...

the more the Merrier I always say...

I'm excited for this weekend...

we have our town Christmas parade...

and tree lighting ceremony....

my daughters dancers will be in the parade..

and performing at the ceremony...

a firework show will follow...

I am also going to the Christmas festival

in Hotrods town that morning...

it will be a fun filled Christmasy day...

so of course...will be lots of photos coming up...

Sunday my daughter and I have a big project..

we are finally going to get the rest of her

junk  stuff...cleaned out of the 3 rooms..

that she has taken over...it is amazing..

how much stuff one girl could have...

we are trashing..hauling off...and boxing up..

I'm excited about all the room I will have...

for my junk  stuff...

 I had 400 photos printed at Walgreens...

they were having a special...then I had an extra coupon...

so I really got a deal...but you know what...

those photos were just from a couple of days...

I also got our family christmas photo printed...

50 of them...I was surprised that I have so many on my list...

I'm sure I will think of more when I start doing my cards...

 I love sending Christmas cards....

I get so excited when I get them in the mail...

last year I swapped cards with a few Blog pals...

would love to do it again this year...

I miss real mail...

I love cards and letters in the mail box...

text messages and emails are nice...

but there is nothing like going to the mailbox...

seeing a handwritten envelope with your name on it...

open it up....and someone has actually written something...

with their own hands...

Thank you for all the birthday wishes to my Hubby...

I think he enjoyed his birthday...

I took him to dinner to a little bar/grill place he enjoys...

filled up the jukebox with songs that he likes...

we ran into a few old pals we haven't seen in a while...

I got a lot of text messages for him from friends and family..

he doesn't text...or FB...or email...

so everyone knows to send them to me to pass on....

it was a busy day for me...

my son had jury duty...

Hotrod and I dropped him off...the parking in downtown Dallas...

is ridiculous...we timed it just right...he was able to get

out at a red light...and we were able to make our turn...

no fuss no muss...except...

Hotrod was not happy for us letting out his Daddy....

he said I don't want Daddy to go to Judy Duty...

I had to laugh...made me think fo Judge Judy....

I don't think my son would of liked her courtroom...



I think the moon was effecting the dogs yesterday....

they were all acting nutty....every last one of them....

 

Hotrod got knocked down twice...

once by Rooster then once by Ginger...

all of them were acting like they hadn't seen people in months...

so I blamed it on the moon...



This is my Moms Christmas tree...

isn't it cute....

I always wait till December to put up my tree...

and decorations...we may get a real tree this year....

so we won't get it until closer to Christmas...

we are thinking about going to our property to cut one down...

a nice family adventure...

hopefully we can find one that will work...

we haven't been there since early summer...

with the drought we're not sure what the conditions are...

Hotrod and I have started our Christmas Crafts...

Christmas music is playing all the time now...

he knows a lot of the songs by heart now...

nothing sweeter than a 2 year old singing

I want a hippopatmus for Christmas...

 

it was a pretty day....then late afternoon...

the wind kicked up...and a cold front blew in...

 

we made good use of the nice day....

what could be more fun than a big ole pile of leaves...

I mean who doesn't get the urge to run through them...

to stomp them...to toss them...

 he is still young enough...

to think raking or sweeping is fun...

who am I to stop his fun...

especially if it is productive....

 

 

Pawpaw surprised us with this chalk drawing...

he came into the office...said I've got something to show yall...

never would I have thought he would be drawing with chalk...

Hotrod thought it was cool...Pawpaw is cool...

It's amazing what Pawpaws will do for the kiddos...

my husband...my best friend...

we've been married over half our lives...

through good times and bad times...

 By now everyone knows I'm a summer girl...

but I have to tell you...I'm enjoying the Fall leaves this year...

we have really had some pretty ones...

 

 they are just now beginning to fall...

which bothers a lot of people...

but I love seeing the pretty leaves falling...

blowing...and watching Hotrod run and play in them...

 

 we have had such warm weather...

with cool mornings and evenings...

today it is suppose to hit 80 then dive down to 40 by morning...

the sun is shining...it makes me smile...

 

I'm not usually a yellow person...

but I have to say these yellows are making me happy....

wow this is a busy time of the year...

so much I want to do....and see...

we aren't exchanging gifts this year...

except for the babies...

so that means my Christmas shopping is very easy...

Hubby ordered his own present...

which covers Birthday...Christmas...and Anniversay...

love the way he does that...lol...

Tomorrow he will be 50 years old...

yes I robbed the cradle...

I'm a little less than 9 months older...

he's taking his birthday better than he took mine...

he was a mess over me turning 50...

it didn't bother me at all...

after all it's only a number....

my niece loves to play with cars as much as Hotrod does...

I'm thinking Santa might be bringing her a few...

Hubby had wanted to get rid of all the leaves...

I said no way...the kiddos will love playing in them...

boy did they...I wish I could show you some of

faces...they are priceless...

we are fortunate to have a very big lot...

almost an acre in the city...

the kiddos have a ball running and playing...

even a flat basketball can be tons of fun...

running...running...running...

of course what day would not be complete...

with out sand...

our patio looked like Toys R Us exploded on it...

thankgoodness I have found great bargains on all of these toys...

some were my kiddos toys...

Most I have got at garage sales and thrift stores...

bring them home give a little clean up...

side note...the little dress my niece has on...

my Mom made this with an old pair of overalls..

scrap material and rick rack...

You did a great job Mom...

I've had a great Holiday weekend...

The whole family took Hotrod to see Santa on Saturday...

at Bass Pro Shoppe...

Hubby and I have never been there...

a very cool place...

Santa asked Hotrod what he wanted for Christmas...

he said TOYS...

Santa asked if there were specific toys...

he said just TOYS....

 Well I told you last week I was having special guests

for Thanksgiving this year...

they flew in from Florida...

to enjoy a Texas Thanksgiving...

Sandra and my Mom have a nice visit...

 

Hubby offers Bob a beer....

we sit back and watch the little ones play...

 

 

 

My son brings out his guitar and harmonica...

he plays and sings for us.....

 

 

I was so busy behind the camera....

I didn't get a photo of Sandra and myself...

we loved having our Florida visitors...

I sure hope they enjoyed their time in Texas...
