there are some things I would like to share...
with my Daughter and Daughter in law...
future grand daughters (if I ever have any)...
things I've figured out...
relationships are not always 50/50...
it is the grand total...not the daily totals that matter...
once you figure that out...your life will be easier...
when you are feeling over whelmed...
feeling like you are the only one doing anything...
look at the big picture...
remember when they did the dishes or carried out the trash...
called you out of the blue just to say I love you...
remembering the good...
makes the not so good less memorable...
and always remember...
please never forget...
Men are Men...
their brains are not wired like ours...
that's what drew us to them in the first place...
don't expect them to magically start thinking like you...
it's not gonna happen...
but you can let those traits endear them into your heart...
not make your brain want to explode...

my favorite shot of HR has always been the one of the dad/granddad under the truck with jeans clad legs sticking out and HR with his butt in the air, now this one climbing through the dog door compares and i have two favorites. excellent advice for all the women in your family...
-chuckle- Great post.
But of course, I really want to know, the exact reason for this posted Wisdom. -gigggles- Meaning, was it Hotrod or hubby, who make you console yourself with this Wisdom?
NO reply expected!!!
:-)
"their brains are not wired like ours" - Truer words have never been spoken! It reminds of the words in the Brad Paisley song "With all of these men lining up to get neutered
It's hip now to be feminized
I don't highlight my hair
I've still got a pair
Yeah honey, I'm still a guy"
LOVE the picture going through the dog door - looks like a candidate for enlarging to poster size to display at his graduation party :-)

This made me think of the Brad Paisley song "I'm Still A Guy."

The best advice ever!!!!
I love that image of Hotrod going through the dog door! Show that to him when he gets to be 6 feet tall!!!
Men can drive you crazy, but that is sometimes why you love them...
I laughed so hard when I saw those little feet sticking out from the pet door...too cute!! Excellent advice...what a great mom and mom-in-law you are. Hugs
I'm glad I didn't miss this post and these precious pictures.
So true, men are wired different and we love them all the same....
Really great advice to dils and daughters. I might have to start writing to mine, now. :)
