Spring is in the air in Texas....
along with the sneezes and watery eyes...
but it is worth is to see these....

I love Iris'...
all mine came from my Mamaw...
and hubbies Grandmother...
they both brought them here from their farms...
when they moved to the big city...
Iris' are a great heirloom plant...
can be passed from generation to generation...

started doing a little yard work yesterday...
my patio was a mess from the winter...

had to do a little little britches proofing....
cactus had to be moved to a new location...
cactus and little busy hands don't do well together...
we had another beautiful day for being outdoors...
I still need to get a new cover for my glider...
I have found a queen or king size sheet works great...
they usually last 6 months or so...
I find them at the thrift store for a couple of bucks...
change colors and designs for a fresh look...
Happy Monday everyone....

My mom has a lot of Iris in her yard. They haven't started blooming yet, still to cold there.
Here we have been in high 70's and low 80's so everything is blooming.

Beautiful! I planted some from my niece's yard but they haven't come up yet. Perhaps I should go out there and check!
