It's Tuesday but feels like a Monday...
3 day weekends are nice...
but it takes you 2 weeks to get back to normal...

I have had a productive day today....
Nolan and I got our walk in this morning...
I've been crossing things off my to do list...
more than usual thanks to my daughter...
it's nice having an assistant....

Hotrod is a fun assistant...
but I tend to drift away from work...
more to fun with him....
he is learning to help though...
he likes pulling papers off the printer...
stacking them upside down for me...

he is also getting good about clean up time...
he loves to help bring in groceries...
unless he notices Popcicles...
then he usually puts down the bags...
to carry the popcicles...
it is still  help though...
Hubby has been more helpful too...
since our daughter moved out...
he is pitching in a little more around the house...
he has always cooked...
but now he even does the dishes....
maybe this empty nest thing isn't too bad...
Daughter and I have started planning Thanksgiving...
we are thinking about having our own Turkey Walk...
get the families together for some fun exercise...
before the big Turkey feast...
Does your family do anything like that?
I'm thinking it would be a fun tradition to start...

I love the idea of a Turkey Walk! Also, I can relate to being distracted by Popsicles. So cute!

really like the top shot with the colors behind the branches.

is there a walk or fun run you could participate in that day (other than the turkey trot).

I've always loved having traditions to each of the different occasions. Your thoughts sound like so much fun with the turkey walk.

Great that your husband is pitching in on the home duties..... a good man!

I think the Turkey Walk sounds like a wonderful tradition to start.

The turkey walk sounds great!!! Our family tradition is eat, eat and eat some more! So this year it will be very interesting!

We will be away from the majority of our family this year because we are going down to be with our children who are expecting a baby around that time. Which means I'll be cooking everything! That will be a first....I'm used to doing my regular Thanksgiving dishes and that's it!

A family turkey walk, sounds wonderful!

This city has an annual "Turkey Trot" on Thanksgiving morning, and *zillions* of people walk in it. I think d-i-law and family did it, one year. But none of the rest of us, do any Thanksgiving exercise.

And EVERYONE should!!!!!!!!!!!

Gentle hugs,
Auntie

Sounds like your having some great days and accomplishing a lot. My husband took Thursday and Friday off also so I am way messed up in my days! I think your Turkey walk sounds like fun. We have not done anything like that.
