I can't believe November is almost gone...
is there a button we can push....to slow things down a bit...

I had 400 photos printed at Walgreens...
they were having a special...then I had an extra coupon...
so I really got a deal...but you know what...
those photos were just from a couple of days...
I also got our family christmas photo printed...
50 of them...I was surprised that I have so many on my list...
I'm sure I will think of more when I start doing my cards...
 I love sending Christmas cards....
I get so excited when I get them in the mail...
last year I swapped cards with a few Blog pals...
would love to do it again this year...
If you are interested just let me know...
leave me a comment or send an e-mail...

I miss real mail...
I love cards and letters in the mail box...
text messages and emails are nice...
but there is nothing like going to the mailbox...
seeing a handwritten envelope with your name on it...
open it up....and someone has actually written something...
with their own hands...
Do you send Christmas cards?
Do you add a family photo???
Do you add a family letter???

you are like my mother was, she could have written this post. of course when she died there was no email or techy stuff. I do not mail cards or letters, no family photos and no letters. i prefer email greetings. when i get cards, i keep them for a couple of days and throw them away. mother saved every card she ever got, when she died there were boxes of cards. i used to write mother a note once a week and mail it but i had to force myself. i have not put a stamp on anything in over a year. it upsets me when someone sends me a card they spent 5 dollars on, and some are more than that. but there are more like you than like me so you will have fun....

I do send Christmas cards but not as many as I used to. Many years ago my parents used to send well over 100 cards every year.

Don't send any. It was always a horrible chore for me. So one year, I stopped. :-)

If you enjoy the process, wonderful. If not, stop. :-)

But Real Mail still rocks. -sigh-

Sending cards was never one on my favorite things to do. With the exception of a handful I have not sent Christmas cards in several years. Arthritis in my fingers has made hand writing difficult for me. I used to love to write letters but now it is no longer fun. So what letters I send get pecked out on the computer and printed.

Sorry about the deleted post, I messed up. Hugs

It's funny, but just this year I was thinking I would actually send Christmas cards. Haven't done it for years. I'm a lazy butt sometimes!

I quit sending many cards years ago, but try to send a few to immediate family. I *love* 'real' mail, too, but never get any, boo hoo.

I had a wild hair to send my husband a hand written letter last month (he lives and works in a different state, for now). We call, text, and email many times a day, but I sat down and wrote a couple of pages of wonderful memories I have of times we've spent together. When he got it, he texted me that he was very nervous to open it ... We have a funny saying about staying together - there will be no divorce, but there might be a bag of rocks around the neck and a river involved... (that may not be funny to some, but it's our little thing) ... so I reminded him that I couldn't fit a bag of rocks in an envelope so he was safe to open the letter. He liked it so much that I want to do it again ...

I would love to do a card swap - sign me up (and then what do I need to do, lol, I've never done that before).

BTW I *love* that antler tree, I would love one in my living room!

Since all our kids left home, I do picture cards......I never felt like I could before because I never had everyone together for a picture and didn't want to leave anyone out. So it's just the two of us and I think one year the dogs got to be in the picture!

Your autumn colors are mellowing out nicely, Deb.
I used to send lots of Christmas cards, but in recent years we just do emails with photos.

Hey, I missed this post! Good thing I came back! I love those golden leaves, and seeing your almost makes fall last longer...
When I posted my suggestion for cards, I included the link to this post.

I love to send cards and received them. The cards tend to include a letter with pictures and sometimes just pictures or just a note. Just depends who I'm sending the card to.
I'd love to exchange cards with you.
I'll email later tonight with my address and you can send me yours. Fun.
