Our first Thanksgiving day Art project....
the feathers are Hotrods hands...
the Body is his foot....

we saw these cantaloupe out by the street on one of our walks...
not sure why...but I snapped any way...
Just because I could...

I trimmed my mint way back...
we are expecting a freeze in the morning...
all that you see hanging over in the photo...
is now in vinegar...some with lemons also...
it smells so great when it's done...
I usually let it sit 7-10 days...
I use it to clean glass...and also in the washer...
it makes a great fabric softener...

Thank you for all the well wishes
with my allergies/cold...
I'm feeling so much better...
the winds have died down...so I'm thinking it was allergies...
Hubby got me some Robitussin...
and Ricola Lemon mint throat drops...
big help....
I explained Veteran's day to Hotrod today...
he was excited to tell his PawPaw...
we thank the militaries...
we are also learning about Thanksgiving...
he is really excited about the pie part...
Today I am thankful for the beauty around me....
it is there if you take the time to look...

Hotrod's turkey is cute!! I am with him on that pie part. lol You for sure have a green thumb sweet Deb. My mint did not grow near like yours this year. Maybe next year will be a good year for herbs here. Sorry to hear you have not been feeling well but happy to know you are better. Hugs

Sorry you've been feeling icky, the wind woke my allergies up, that's for sure.

Your little Hotrod is so adorable, and so blessed to have you in his life (and I'm sure you feel the same :-) ) My son's daycare mom (a long time ago, he's 19 now, lol), made Christmas reindeer very similar - foot for the face, hands for the antlers, then added the googly eyes and a tiny red pom pom nose. I kept them all, and they are some of my favorite Christmas decorations.

I hope you continue feeling better and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

I have gotten several reminders today, including Hotrod's cute turkey, that Thanksgiving is indeed coming very soon. I'm off now to order my turkey (it won't be as cute as Hotrod's).

What a cute turkey project. I saw the hands right away, but did not know it was the foot until you told me. That will be a treasure to keep so Hotrod can show his own children someday.

A great idea for the mint and one I will likely try for my spring garden.

So glad your feeling better. Love the turkey art work.
The cantaloupe photo is pretty cool. How odd for them to be out like that.
