Why did the turkey play the drums???

because he had drumsticks.....
admit it...you laughed....
I started blogging August 2008..
I erased my blog posts from 2008...
I was trying to create more blog space...
I didn't know at the time I could buy more space...
I wish I hadn't lost those posts...
I've been going back reading old posts...

it is amazing how my blog has changed...
I went back and read some of the comments...
it is sad but a lot of those folks...no longer blog...

my followers have changed..
so have the blogs I follow...
I feel like I have found my comfortable spot...
with the blogs I read....
with the sweet folks that stop by here..
I look forward to your comments...
I look forward to your blog posts...
I worry if I don't hear from you...
I worry when I see or hear things on the news in your area...
To me blogging is not about a popularity contest...
it is about meeting nice folks...
keeping up with their lives...
being able to express myself...
even if we don't agree on everything...
we can agree to disagree....
respect each other...

Great post, Hon!!!

And answer to your question on my blog entry... Did I have siblings. No.

A brother was eventually born, but he was sick and died in 2 years. So, nope, I don't have any memories of brothers/sisters.

First blush, one would say, that's why the Imaginary Playmate. :-) But just read something interesting. Puts a whole new light on it. :-))))))))

Gotta' find some others, who did have a *real* Imaginary Playmate.* Not just doll play, etc. Hope I find some. :-)

It takes time to get in that comfort zone. I'm not sure I'm there yet. It's a process. :)

i went back several times and read my first year of post and shuddered at some of them, i have evolved completely and a few caused me to wonder WHAT i was thinking. like you i found that the vast majority that wrote on the first year no longer follow or even blog. also i agree, i am happy with my friends and feel the same way you do. watching the news, i say oh no that is where so and so is and bob says who is that? he doesnt get that i talk about all of you like i know you. so and so dog is sick, her dog died, on and on about people i have never met but KNOW

What a good post! I guess we are all on a journey in life and those we travel with change as we change. I haven't gone back to read mine but I don't think I had ANY comments at all for a long time. When I did get some I was surprised. I didn't realize people out there were actually reading my journal. At least people I didn't know - or didn't know THEN! I thought only my family and friends would 'follow' me. Now I am like you - with a whole community of kindred spirits! I need to go back and see exactly when I did start to blog! Funny how I didn't even know how the whole blog thing worked back then!
Great post!!

That first photo - there is a mark on the pavement that looks like a smile or a moustache. I think your shadow is smiling!
